The AIRBELT D1 Turbo is a straight-suction vacuum that offers an air-driven turbo head for use on rugs and a parquet brush for hard floors. However, the AIRBELT D4 Premium offers a parquet brush and the ET-1 electric power head that cleans both carpets and hard floors.
Because of their superior power-head and brush roller technology, SEBO vacuums are the best for pet hair removal and lifting dander/allergens from the carpet and off of bare floors.
Made In Germany, SEBO vacuum cleaners are Carpet Manufacturer recommended for the correct care and maintenance of soft floor products.
Sebo Vacuums are German Made

All Sebo vacuum cleaners are hand built in Germany using the most durable materials available. This makes them head and shoulders above mass manufactured vacuums pumped out of Vietnam and China.

Air vacuums are standalone appliances that allow various types of steam machines to integrate into them. The air vacuum then provides suction to pull steam directly through the piece of clothing that is being processed.
SEBO produces its products in Germany and is known for manufacturing the best pet vacuum cleaners on the market. Miele sells a more extensive range of appliances as well as vacuum cleaners. There are parallels and variations in the product selection of the two firms. For instance, both brands sell only bagged vacuums.
Sebo vs Dyson

The main operational difference between these two popular vacuum brands is that SEBO uses vacuum bags while Dyson vacuums are bagless. SEBO`s three-layer vacuum bags hold about 10 times the debris volume as compared to the debris capacity of dirt containers found on typical bagless vacuums.

In 1978, two engineers founded SEBO in Velbert, Germany. Since then, SEBO has become the most important manufacturer of high-quality, commercial vacuum cleaners in the world, with sales in Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.
The SEBO D4 is great for vacuuming stairs. It`s heavy, which can make it a bit of a hassle to carry up and down stairs, but its built-in carrying handle does help make this process a little less fatiguing.
SEBO vacuum cleaners are all still made in Germany and the commitment to quality is as firm as ever.
If you are lucky enough to own a SEBO vacuum, you are guaranteed a life span of at least 15 years thanks to the hard work of German engineers. Nonetheless, learning some basic maintenance tips and tricks wouldn`t hurt the longevity of your vacuum. In fact, it may lengthen the total life expectancy upwards of 20 years!

The difference between air and vacuum is the presence of the particles of Oxygen, Hydrogen, Nitrogen and Ozone. The idea that a vacuum is the total absence of air is a common mistake!
A perfect vacuum, if measured in absolute terms is zero (0 inches Hg) but is 29.92 in-Hg V (-29.92 in-Hg G) if the measured units are deemed relative (vacuum or gauge).
In the U.S., the common standard to measure rough vacuum is inches of mercury (“Hg), which can be measured in two different ways. One method is as “Hg gauge (“HgV), where the scale starts at 0″ Hg (atmospheric pressure) and goes up to 29.92″ Hg, which is perfect vacuum.
Established in 1996 as a joint venture with Melitta, the Dongguan plant has been fully owned by the Miele Group since 2009. Currently Miele produces the Swing H1, Compact C1, Compact C2 and Complete C2 vacuum cleaners here.
Miele has a wider service network than other high-end vacs do. The filtration is excellent. If you or someone in your family has asthma, allergies, or any other condition affected by indoor air quality, Miele canister vacuums can measurably help (especially if you use the Miele bags).
Best Overall: Dyson V15 Detect Cordless Vacuum

From small to large homes with pets, kids, carpet, hard floors and everything in between, Dyson`s V15 Detect model is a solid overall cordless vacuum that will satisfy the needs of most households.

Dyson invested £2.5 billion in research and development.

While you might feel that this is the reason their products are expensive, you`re highly mistaken. This investment was mainly to accommodate a centre for their 1,200 employees, 22 laboratories, prototyping space, and areas for collaborative work.

One of the biggest differences between the Airbelt K and the Airbelt E is a design change that improved maneuverability, particularly while pulling the canister during use. On the Airbelt E, the hose connects to the body in the center of the canister vacuum rather than off to one side.

Electrolux Epic 6500SR Full Bag sensor working, Does not Reset properly
ANSWER : The problem was a sticking switch that was not being reset. The vacuum on/off switch mechanism is comprised of two switches. One is the main switch that turns the vacuum on and off. The second is a shut off switch that gets tripped when the full bag sensor is engaged. This second switch is supposed to get reset when you push the on/off switch on the outside of the machine. The full bag shutoff switch was stiff and it, therefore, was taking a couple of presses of the on/off switch to move the shutoff switch back into the running position.

Taking off the bumper from A Sebo K1 Airbelt – Sebo K1 airbelt Bagged Canister Vacuum
ANSWER : First, remove the clip at the back of the machine where the airbelt joins (lever it off carefully with a screwdriver). The airbelt is in two parts – the bulky foam strip and a thin material cover. The cover is held in grooves, top and bottom, running all the way round the machine, by two thin plastic strips around which it is wrapped and which just slip into those grooves. The challenge is to get those strips, and the covering material, out without damaging them. Just prise one end out with a small screwdriver and work your way around the machine – it’s more a matter of patience than anything else.

Unbeknownst to me, someone took the bag out of my Kenmore Progressive vacuum and failed to replace it. I have been vacuuming without a bag for months, and today the vacuum stopped sucking. When I opened up the front to replace the bag, tons of dirt and dust came pouring out. I thoroughly cleaned the vacuum, put in a new bag, but still no sucking power. Just dust coming from the rear vents where one of the filters is. Is the vacuum ruined, or is it a simple solution of buying a new filter?
ANSWER : Sounds like you need to buy a new motor. All that grit and dust will ruin a motor and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.
.This is where a vacuum that won’t run without a bag would have been nice. (Aerus for one)

I had the vacuum cleaner question about the canister and the wand/powerhead… the Kenmore Progressive Vacuum canister model 116.25812 and the canister not powering off without unplugging the vacuum. The solution I received that they both run on their own switch so it is normal makes sense. However, is there a power switch on the canister anywhere? The only way for the canister to be turned off is by unplugging it. Any ideas? One would think there would be a switch. I am new to fixya and hope
ANSWER : Hi. On some models, one switch controls all of the power. Your issue, which is no working switch is almost certainly a blown triac on the circuit board in the canister – kenmore part number KC86WBZRZ000

Looks like a common fault with this particular model judging by the number of complaints on the web.
.
.Take it to your local vacuum repair shop and they should be able to fix it for a nominal fee.

While vacuuming the red light for the bag of the vacuum came on and the vacuum stopped. The bag was no where near full so I replaced it with a new bag – same problem. It vaccumes for a minute or then stops with bag light on. It is the correct bag for the machine – so what’s the problem?
ANSWER : I’m assuming this is the Epic 6500 or similar model.
.Detach the hose, turn vacuum on. If it runs, place palm of hand against inport hole. If it shuts off the problem is with either the control valve setting or the control valve assembly itself.
.For cvs, turn dial on top of vacuum all the way to the largest dot, and try above test again. If that doesn’t work, then it’s the CVA. It needs to be cleaned or replaced, which is an in shop job. Fro repair, take it to the nearest Aerus Electrolux store. I recommend a full clean and service to remove any dust/dirt from the motor, fan assembly, and other internal parts.
.
.Another problem, which relates to the dial setting, is that fine dust will quickly clog the pores of the bag, resulting in the machine “thinking” the bag is full. Turning the dial to the proper setting helps get the bag fuller. The middle setting is the normal setting, and is for areas without fine dust and sand.

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums
ANSWER : Try replacing the belt. Rubber belts stretch out after about a year.

Overheated vacuum After I finished vacuuming the library last night I changed the bag and shook out both filters and vacuum would not restart. The canister unit felt real warm to the touch but I had been using it a least 1/2 hour non stop. The bag was pretty full but not overly so. It’s a Simplicity canister with power head. The carpet is long shag from the 70’s Did it just over heat? Thanks Shauna
ANSWER : It normally won’t over heat unless the bag is too full, the filters are clogged, or you have have a clog in the hose or down by the brush roll, the inlet may be clogged. Some will restart after a while, some others have a reset to push. If it won’t power on, then you have a problem and it will have to serviced.

When we turn on the vacuum, the canister falls open. The clips holding the canister in place do not seem to hold the canister tightly which I’m sure that it did in the past. The clips do not look bent, but every time we turn on the vacuum the intense pressure blows the canister open only remaining attached the the rest of the vacuum by one clip
ANSWER : Check filter and make sure it is kept clean at regular intervals. Possibly worn out clip retainers on cannister side due to excessive pressure build up. Do not force closure unless pressure is back to normal. May crack cannister or damage unit beyond repair.
