Turn the unit on and feel the suction at the end of the hose handle. If there is no or low suction, then the clog is in the hose. You can remove the clog by running a long, stiff object through the hose, such as a butter knife, starting at the wall end.

Sorry about the catagory…but you do not have sewing machine on list.

.I have this machine. I use it for my heavy sewing, as it will go through anything. I would be happy to copy the manual and send it to you for copy costs. Just let me know. I would love to know what knowledge you have gained about this machine. It does not appear to be an easy machine to find info on, may not have produced a lot? I had no idea it was not a European produced machine.

.I have a Bissell Dirt Lifter that has the giant clear store compartment that you supposedly put the water in?
Do i mix the soap in with the water in this compartment or is there another location where i add the soap..
We have looked the machine over and see no other place to really put the soap…
will it ruin the machine if we just add the soap with the water in the detachable compartment?

.Hello,
.I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
.According to your description you do mix the water with the Bissell soap in order to dispense the solution onto the spot, it will not ruin the machine if you mix the water and soap together.
.You may want to refer to your owner’s manual and check out the trouble shooting guide for no water coming out. You may want to contact the factory or manufacturer to see if they have service tech support or to send out a new owner’s manual for your current model #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

The machine probably requires about 2 amps or less under normal operation.
Being a 3.0 amp slow blow fuse, it will withstand short bursts of extra current when your machine gets temporarily overloaded.
Just make sure the machine is properly lubricated and runs freely. The fuse will definitely blow if your machine should get jammed or something like that.
I think I know where I can score some. Cost of postage only. 🙂

I wrote with this initial problem and received a reply. We did everything recommended to find a clog. To begin with, we poked holes thru the little holes on the underside with a toothpick. Next we took the machine all apart as directed and cleaned out anything that had accumulated (such as pet hair). Eventually we emptied out the soap dispenser, filled it with a hot salt water solution and let it sit for 10 min. I ran three tanks of hot water
The solution to your problem is already solved, since your soap dispenser is still under warrant,
What i will suggest is that you contact the company that supply you this product and explain everything to them, it is most likely they give you the solution to your problem or send someone to your aid, or can even replace the product for you.
Take care.
