First, check that the cord is properly connected to the vacuum cleaner (again, this is surprisingly easy to overlook) and that there are no splits in the rubber. If the cord is damaged, it will need immediately repairing or replacing. The on/off switch can break over time and need replacing.
Some vacuums have an in-line thermal fuse (often located between the switch lead and the motor coil). If the fuse is blown it will need to be replaced. – Check your home circuit breaker – it may have tripped. – Some vacuums have a brushroll on/off control.

Inspect the vacuum hose for any small holes, kinks, or cracks. Any cracks or holes will decrease the amount of suction in the hose and will not allow the carpet extractor to properly remove liquid from the floor. The hose will need to be replaced if there is damage.
The most common problems found in vacuum cleaners are low suction force, excessive noise, burning smell, vacuum not turn on, and overheating. These issues can be fixed by either cleaning the device or replacing some parts of the device. At times, it is best to seek a professional to fix the cleaner effectively.
The most common problem with a vacuum cleaner is also the easiest to remedy: clogs in the hose or attachments. Also the electrical cord, motor, switch, fan, brushes, and motor bearings can all need repair or replacement. The drive belt may need replacing; and the attachments, hoses, and filters may need unclogging.
VOLTAGE TYPES (VAC / VDC)

This means the fuse can be used in a circuit he voltage maximum operating at this voltage . For example; if your fuse was rated at 250VAC, it could be used in a 250VAC circuit or in a or less lower voltage circuit such as 12VAC, but it must not be used in a circuit operating above 250VAC ie.

If the indicator light is flashing red, the thermostat is overheating. To reset the thermostat, turn off and unplug the vacuum. Empty the dust cup and filter and assure there are no blockages in the hose. Allow the vacuum to cool for at least 45 minutes before turning it back on.
This vacuum must be plugged into a wall outlet for electricity. Unwrap the cord from the device and insert the 3 prong cord into the nearest wall socket. If after plugging it in it still does not power on, it may be necessary to replace the power cable.
Take a look at charging conditions

If this is the case, check your battery charger to make sure it is working properly, connecting to the battery properly, and that the connectors are not dirty or damaged. If it`s been a few years since you started using the vac, you may need to buy a new battery.

A flashing red light

On many Shark vacuums, that same red light may flash intermittently instead of remaining solid. While this could be an indication that the brush roll is jammed up, a flashing red light usually means that your Shark vac is overheating.

Push the button on the side of the motor housing to reset the mini breaker which protects the motor against an overload. If the power goes off one more time, call a service centre near you.
Another reason the vacuum is not turning on may be that the circuit breaker may have tripped. Check the breaker on the unit and if it continues to fail it usually means the motor is going bad. Another reason can be the bad signal from the unit to the wall inlet.
Resetting the Unit

If the unit is “frozen” or locks up, you may wish to reset it. To do so, turn the unit ON and press the end of paperclip or similar into the reset port on the back of the unit for less than 2 seconds to reset it without clearing Bluetooth settings. The unit will reset and power back on.

Reconnect / Charge Robot Wi-Fi

In the app, navigate to Product Settings > Wi-Fi Settings > select Reconnect or Change Product Wi-Fi. Enter your Wi-Fi password to re-establish the Wi-Fi connection to the robot. The robot should now be connected! We find this resolves the issue for most of our customers.

Locate the brush reset button on the lower back right of the vacuum. Press the button to reset the brushroll To ensure the brush has been reset, plug the vacuum back into the electrical outlet.
Check for a plugged hose:

Plugged vacuum hoses are sometimes the reason for a loss in suction. Hoses can get clogged with hair, dust bunnies, string, or anything else that can`t pass through the other end of the hose. Airways inside the machine should be looked at as well. Wherever there is an air passage, check it.

Make sure the power cord and the plug are not damaged. If either are, contact our Consumer Care team. Make sure the outlet works by plugging in a cell phone charger or small appliance. If it doesn`t work, check another outlet.
Cleaning products actually can expire, they begin to degrade over time. Cleaning products begin to break down with time as they sit on the shelf in the bottle. As they break down, it can affect how well they work or even change the pH balance which also renders them less effective.

ANSWER : Vacuum cleaners do not have reset buttons instead it would have a thermal protection breaker integrated within the motor if the motor overloads it will shut off but will start again as it cools down.Check to make sure the outlet has power in it first. Vacuum cleaners are usually reliable since they are not subjected to prolonged use unless it is used in commercial environment, but a common problem with it is a bad internal connection usually around the motor area due to vibration.

Reset button for Eureka 431 bagless upright???Where is it?!
ANSWER : If the red light is one the says “check brushroll” then you have to take it apart to find out what the problem is. It might be that the roll has too much stuff rapped around it so you have to take it out and clean. It could also be the rubber belt is not properly in place. Once you take the bottom off the belt should go on the far right side. Those are the only things i can think of. I have had mine for 3 years and have never seen a reset switch. Usually when my light comes on it is because there is a lot of hair rapped around my brush roll.

ANSWER : There is no other reset. The Dyson will cut out if it gets too hot, but resets itself when it cools. In doing the job you describe, I doubt that you have operated it long enough to cause overheating, or to do any other damage. I suspect the problem is only coincidentally related to the particular job you were doing. Sorry, but you will probably need professional hands-on help to solve this one.
