First, check to make sure the clean tank has water and/or the water & formula mixture in the tank. If your tank is empty, this could be the reason your machine is not spraying. You will need to fill your clean tank again. Reseat the tank and ensure it sits snug on the machine.
Should the brush not rotate freely there may be debris tangled around the ends of the brush, carefully remove any obstructions or replace the brush with a new one. We recommend that you fit a new belt and brush once per year to keep your Reactive vacuum working efficiently.

Water is not being discharged. I have filled the reservoir that holds the carpet cleaner fluid And I have filled the water container. I know how to use the cleaner, it has always worked, But now, no water is being discharged to the carpet. I turn it on, squeeze the trigger, but nothing comes out. The wheel that is suppose to spin (to indicate that water is being discharged) is not spinning. Everything else works. I.e. the suction works, and the hand held accessories work.
ANSWER : That means that the pump belt is worn and it needs to be replaced. You can get a replacement belt and view the manual here:

CLEANER WON’T DISPENSE–I HAVE SOAKED… NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK
ANSWER : You either have a clogged tube or the trigger assembly is bad and will not allow the soap to dispense.

Water and cleaner not coming out, The machine is only 6m old and was working fine, I have cleaned every where I can to see if there was a blockage but nothing is working. The heater is working, there is a suction but the water and soap will not realease when triger is pulled. it will not work on on the tool spay.
ANSWER : Check the complede length of the hose. You may find a crimp in the most inconvenient place. You say you cleaned everything … can you blow through the hose where the cleaner comes out? (don’t drink anything!)

Our kenmore progressive model #11634922 was working fine today. And then – it’s not. Plugged in – nothing is working on it. We let it cool down (though it didn’t seem hot). Still nothing – no light, no motor. Tried it in some other plugs that we know are functioning well – and still nothing. Any idea what might be wrong with it? It’s six years old but doesn’t get heavy use.

Thanks so much ~ Susan Golden

ANSWER : Hi, it could be a number of things, cord may be bad as well as a problem with the motor. There also is a fuse that could have blown. If you go to sears.com, click on parts, put in your model number, when the page loads, click on the first link and you will have a parts list, and scroll down there will be a parts break-down picture that you can look at. You can also order parts thru the Sears website.

I have a Bissell ProHeat 2x, and I did something dum. I had some powdered cleaner that said it works with carpet cleaners-well I mixed it in-and the next time I tried to use it, nothing came out. So, I took it part to check what was wrong-and found out that the powdered cleaner solidified in places. I cleared the nozzels, nothing. I think the solenoid, between the heater and nozzels is pluggd, and possibly the heater. I’ve got a question-could I use CLR to clean the heater, with replacing t
ANSWER : Heck yeah, give it a shot. Try running some water through it too- fill it up, heat it just to where it’s hot and unplug it, shake it around and dump it out. Repeat. You might have to get a wire or something to go through and get the powder loosened between the boiler and nozzle, but if the stuff will dissolve in hot water then once you get it going a little it’ll flow better the longer you keep heating it and putting new water it.

I say I think you should unplug it once it gets mildly hot the first few times because if there is a pile of the powder stuck to the side of the tank you may find that the tank gets very hot there and overheats/fails.

You should be able to clean the solenoid too, hot water is your friend.

I have the smaller oreck portable hand vaccuum & it won’t turn on. It was working fine in the one bathroom & I moved to the other & bathroom & it won’t work or turn on at all?
ANSWER : Check the wall outlet has poser and make sure the plug is fully inserted.

No suction vacuum won’t pick up — I’ve checked the bag, hose…and it seems to have no sucking power. The internal hose may be jammed (I vacuumed up a lot of shredded paper), but nothing as far as I can stick in fingers in. I don’t have a metal coat hanger to slip down, but I’m afraid that might tear the hose and then the darn thing won’t work anyway. :o(
ANSWER : If it is plugged, try using a tape measure, i know it sounds stupid but it will work to unplug your line and will not tear your hose..

Roomba Discovery My Roomba Discovery seems to work fine, mechanically, but it no longer seems to collect any dust. (The collection bin remains empty after the Roomba has circulated around the floor for quite a while). The brush has been replaced and spins normally. Does anyone have an idea why this machine’s vacuum function no longer seems to work? I would appreciate any feedback. Jeremy
ANSWER : Did you replace the filter? when you remove the dust bin there is a small filter that needs to be cleaned, or replaced. You can buy a maintenance kit that replaces the brushes and filters as well, its good to replace them all regularly
