The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture.
To access the rating plate on a Hoover appliance, always open the door of the product, then follow the instructions below. The model number is 8 digits long (beginning with a 3) and the serial number is 16 digits long.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor, not contacting the carpeting?? I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting. Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums
ANSWER : Try replacing the belt. Rubber belts stretch out after about a year.

Hoover Bagless Hello, My Hoover bag less (Model U5280-900) is not picking up dirt like it should. The brush roll is spinning fine, but the bristles on it are only about one quarter inch long. ANSWER : If the belt is more than six months old then change it even if it is not broken. then replace your filters if that doesnt work than check the hoses for a clog drop a marble down them and make sure it comes out.

Infinity Vaccum by Shark, model number NV31COS, will not start. The vacuum was running just fine until it grabbed the edge of a curtain. Turned it off to release the suction. I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

I have a Kirby G4 Vacuum Cleaner – MOdel G4 D. I have never had any problems or repairs done to it in the past ten plus years that I’ve had it. This is an upright vacuum. ANSWER : You have to take the top (hood) off. Mine is red. I’m not sure if they are all the same, but I suspect they are. There are 4 tabs that hold it on. First, gently wedge a screwdriver between the red hood and the black bottom plate around the side of the rear wheels. There is a tab on both sides.

.When those are loose, you should be able to find the next two pretty easy. They are about 1 1/2 inches back from the rollers. ALL tabs are between the black bottom plate and the red hood. The hood will lift right off. You’ll want to place the new belt around the brush rollers first then, then over the pully pin.

Suction problem I have a Hoover Widepath Fold Away, 12 amp motor vacuum cleaner and the problem I am having is every time I vacuum, the vacuum gets clogged up with carpet.
