My DC-25 will not return to the upright position. I emailed Dyson support and the response was: “The DC25 stabilizer wheels will not lock into position if the “spokes” on the red pedal are not seated correctly.” I agree with that assessment, but cannot figure out how to get the spokes on the red pedal to seat correctly. The manual is useless for this problem since that part of the vacuum cleaner came already assembled, so the manual does not address it. Help.
ANSWER : It sounds like the undercarriage unit has failed. It is a common problem on ball models. The DC25 is a recent model so would still be under Dyson’s 5 year guarantee. Get them out to it.
