Constructed of durable polyethylene, this recovery tank is a direct replacement for the one that came with your Mytee extractor. It is where all of the dirty water is kept until you are done using your carpet cleaner.

You can use it with just about any carpet shampoo on the market, not only Hoover brand. If you make your own, I don`t know but if you have successfully used it with a different machine I`d be willing to bet, yes.
A: Yes, you can just rinse your carpet with plain water when using the Hoover SmartWash Automatic Carpet Cleaner. Helpful?
Fill the tank with water; if you live in an area with hard water, using distilled water in the steamer`s tank will yield a better result. Select the appropriate attachment for the task at hand, and affix it to the machine. Turn the steamer on and allow it to heat up before beginning to clean.
Product recovery tank means a tank that forms an inte- gral part of a ch. ATCP 93 regulated substance spill control system for a storage, processing or transfer area. The purpose of the tank is spill recovery and temporary containment.
NEVER Exceed Refrigerant Recovery Tank Limits

By law, a tank can only be filled to 80% capacity and must be kept under 122°F. It is recommended to fill to 2 lbs less than the 80%. For example, a 30 lb cylinder can hold 22 lbs of refrigerant and a 50 lb cylinder can hold 38 lbs of refrigerant.

There are two methods of removing refrigerant from a system. The first is to pump all available liquid into an approved refrigerant cylinder using the refrigeration system containing the refrigerant. The second is to use refrigerant recovery equipment commercially manufactured for refrigerant recovery.
I boil the water and pour it in carefully—boiling hot. Most home cleaners do not use the power of boiling water, but I do. I have done this for 14 years now, and without any problem.

Laundry Detergents aren`t Formulated for Carpet Cleaning

Cleaning solutions are specifically formulated to clean and not damage the machines they`re used in and the material they`re treating. Laundry soap is designed to be used in washing machines to clean clothing.

Instructions. Mix clear dish soap with warm water in a small bucket. If the stain is fresh, use a rag or a paper towel to blot up (don`t rub, which can press the stain deeper into the fibers of your carpet) as much excess liquid as possible.
How Often Should You Shampoo Your Carpet? You should clean your carpet at least every 12 months to remove dirt, grime, and allergens. However, this schedule can vary depending on several factors in your household. If you have children or pets, you might shampoo your carpets more regularly.
Most steam cleaners are designed to be used without detergent, so stick to water only with these. Some models, on the other hand, can be used with detergent – follow the manufacturer`s instructions.
Yes, you should keep cleaning the carpet until the water is clear. This will ensure that your carpets are clean and free of dirt, dust, and other allergens. However, you should be careful not to scrub too hard or use too much water. Doing so can damage the carpet and lead to more stains in the future.
For a vacuum cleaner to glide easily on a carpet, air must flow into the nozzle and through the machine. Block the air flow and the vacuum seals itself to the carpet and is hard to push. And, unfortunately, that`s what many consumers have discovered when their new carpeting is installed.
A possible cause might be that the tank is not properly seated. To assure the tank is seated properly, pick it up and re-seat is so it sits snugly on the unit. If this doesn`t fix the problem, make sure the tank is assembled properly. To make sure they are both latched properly, pick the tank up by its handle.
Fill the Tank With Vinegar: Fill the water tank with distilled white vinegar or cleaning vinegar. Allow the vinegar to sit in the tank for at least 30 minutes (up to two hours is best) to help break apart the limescale and mineral deposits. Expel the Vinegar: Turn on the steamer and choose the highest heat setting.
During the washing phase: If added while the machine mixes the detergent with the water, the steam increases the temperature of the wash tub to improve the cleaning power, which also helps to activate the detergent. It does this by dissolving the detergent more effectively, to get the most out of it as possible.
Clean your steam cleaner with water and empty it. Pour some water and add laundry detergent to it. Mix it well. Power on it and use it similarly to the way you use vacuum cleaners.
Before you begin transferring recycled refrigerant into an empty storage cylinder, in order to remove non-condensable gases, the cylinder must be evacuated to at least 27 in HG of vacuum. Refillable cylinders must be UL or DOT approved and hydrostatically tested and date stamped every five years.
Per AHRI Guideline K, recovery cylinder colors should be gray (body) with a yellow shoulder.
Next, look for a stamp that says WC. This value indicates the tank`s water capacity, the total weight in liquid water to fill the tank 100%. You cannot fill above 80% with liquid, or you risk building up the hydrostatic pressure and exploding the tank.
The most common cause of vacuum in tanks is caused by steam (water vapor). When you fill a tank with water vapor, most of the air is pushed out of the tank. As the water vapor cools, it condenses into liquid water. Now you have a little bit of liquid in the tank instead of a large amount of water vapor.

Bosch canister vac BSG81313. Took cover off to remove lots of hair, dirt etc from running without bag in place. Everything went back together OK, but cord reel spring went zip when cover was removed. How do I rewind the spring so there is tension when the cord is pulled out ? Wound cord back onto reel, but reel just clicks ever revolution etc…no tension when cord is pulled out of vac.

Bob

ANSWER : The spring inside the hub of the cord wheel has escaped from the locking tab. You must completely dismantle the vacuum to access the cord wheel – take it out, reattach the spring and reassemble the unit. All you need is a phillips screwdriver, a pair of pliers and some patience.
