NOTE: The reset button is located on the upper left-hand side of the unit where the low voltage wires connect to the unit. It is most noticeable when popped out after the breaker has been tripped.
Airflow Issues If the device is clogged, or the dirt cup is full, this may cause the unit to overheat. Unplug the unit and allow it cool, empty the dirt cup and clean the filter.

First, check that the cord is properly connected to the vacuum cleaner (again, this is surprisingly easy to overlook) and that there are no splits in the rubber. If the cord is damaged, it will need immediately repairing or replacing. The on/off switch can break over time and need replacing.

DIRT DEVIL MODEL 08245
BRUSE HAS NO TORQUE, HOW DO I OPEN UNIT TO GET TO TURBO UNIT.
.
Hello,.
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure..
Most of the turbo units are a snap together or they have hidden screws to un-screw to open the top and the bottom of the turbo unit, please check with you owner’s manual under trouble shooting and they will instruct you on how to dis-assemble the unit, and also please check with your local vac dealer. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions..

Don – The Vac Man I have a hoover 3000 i have not used in awhile, and since I removed a large rug, I would like to use it again on my slate floor. HOWEVER, I cannot get it to pick up ANY water in the water recovery unit……it is dry, dry, dry. I have put in a new filter, cleaned the nozzle unit, the scrubber , and reconnected both the recovery unit and the water unit several times, but to no avail. I would like to get a graut attachment a well as replacement part, but since I can’t get the basic unit to work, I
ANSWER : Have you made sure the plastic filter cover with the round hole in it that covers the filter is in place ( part # 59177096 ). This piece seems to get lost, and without it there is no pick-up. The other common problem is that the wheel assembly has been damaged. Look at the bottom of the Floormate. You will see a black plastic wheel assembly. There are two pegs at the rear attaching it to the base. If this piece has a crack in it where it attaches to the base, there will be no pick-up.
Dirt Devil R088100. Cloth Was Sucked Into Hole Below Dirt Holder
ANSWER : Brad, Hopefully it is the belt that you smell burning. I would start by removing the underneath side of the vacuum head. Normally just a few screws that are meant to be remove for general maintanence and circumstances such as this. After removing the screws this should reveal the dirty side of life to you. You may need to remove the roller brush, and inspect the ends to make sure the brush rolls freely while holding the ends. If not the ends may need to be cleaned of hair and strings: ends should pop of and a shaft runs through the middle connecting them. Clean and replace. Move on up the path the dirt travels. The neck where the head and vacuum come together is the next jamming point, if this is where the cloth is lodged chances are the motor may have over heated due to clogging. Your vacuum may have a automatic shut off. You will need to contact Dirt Devil to see if there is a reset for the motor. There are propellers / fan blades at the end of the neck just before the motor housing. This is most likely where the clothe has logged itself causing the brushes on the electric motor to emit the burning smell, if you can remove all obstructions and the unit still does not turn on, check with dirt devil about the reset, Hope this helps.

Vaccuum issue I just bought a Eureka upright model 5892 BVZ, my concern is, I bought it on sale (floor model) and it didn’t have a manual with it. I took it home and tried it, and although it appears to be working very well there is not dirt in the catch bin on the front of the unit. I tried the hose w/attachment and again it worked very well in picking up the cat hair, but where does the hair and the dirt go, I am afraid it is spitting it back out somewhere since I can not see anything in the c
ANSWER : If the dirt being vacuumed is not going into the dirt cup, then it must be just stuck in the hose and evenually will clog up. Check the hose and see it there is a clog in it, otherwise you have a years warranty on a new vacuum, take it into a warranty shop and have it checked out, take proof of purchase with you.

I have a Dyson Animal upright (purple). I took it apart to clean the cyclone chambers. When re-assembling the bottom closed before the opening rod was inserted. I can’t get the opening rod installed with the bottom opening closed. How do I open it? Thanks.
ANSWER : I looked in our DC07. I would try removing the top again and getting a long dowel or the opening rod, insert it down into the unit and PUSH. The opening rod opens the latch by pushing it, not pulling it. Here are some pictures of the latch. Top pic is in the unlock position. Bottom is the normal position.
I hope this helps.
