Our Verdict On Eureka Vacuum Reviews

Eureka vacuum cleaners are one of the most popular brands based on consumer reviews. Their 4870 Boss upright vacuum cleaner has been getting rave reviews based on its performance, maneuverability and durability.

In 1974 Eureka was purchased by AB Electrolux of Sweden and the name was changed back to the Eureka Company. In 2004 the Eureka Company name was discontinued and replaced with Electrolux Home Products Division, although the brand name was still used.
You will find your model number on a metallic silver sticker. It`s usually located on the back or bottom of the vacuum cleaner.
Our Verdict. The Dyson Ball Animal 2 and the Eureka FloorRover are both excellent options for cleaning pet hair, though the Dyson has a couple of advantages. The Dyson is slightly easier to maintain and has no recurring costs, while the Eureka has a HEPA filter that needs replacing on occasion.
Eureka products are made available from our Wuxi, China; Gothenburg, Sweden; and Ohio, USA stock. Our packing and boxes has been carefully designed for best product identification and to minimize logistic and retail handling costs.
Founded in 1909 in Detroit, Michigan Eureka vacuums have been in American`s homes for more than a century. Now we`re building on that experience with innovative cleaning technology to help you clean for years to come.
Founded in 1909, Eureka was purchased in its 65th year by the Swedish company Electrolux AB and became a division of that company.
The Miele Complete C3 is a better overall canister vacuum than the Miele Classic C1. The Complete C3 has a better performance on all surface types, it`s more maneuverable, and it comes with a HEPA filter. It also feels better-built and slightly quieter. However, it`s a bit heavier than the Classic C1.
The Eureka vacuum cleaner company was founded in 1909, and today they still continue to produce reliable vacuum cleaners, some of which are currently rated number one in consumer reports.
The canister portion of the vacuum contains the main motor, filter, and any dust bags; depending on the model, the power head may also contain a smaller motor.
Wipe the inside of the canister with a dry microfiber cloth. Wash the canister in the sink with warm soapy water. Rinse away all soap suds. Let the canister dry completely before replacing it.
This HEPA filter is washable. For optimum performance, change your filters every 6 months.
Ultimately, unlike bagged vacuum cleaners, the performance of Dyson machines won`t be compromised the more you vacuum. Our machines are engineered with six layers of advanced whole machine filtration, which means that we capture 99.97% of microns as small as 0.3 microns.
The Eureka is better overall on bare floors and high-pile carpets, while the Shark generally performs better on low-pile carpets. That said, the Shark can be used in a handheld configuration, so it`s more suited to cleaning stairs or cars than the Eureka.
Nearly all of their manufacturing is in Germany, and every component is produced directly by Miele in one of its 12 factories. In one year their Euskirchen factory produces six million motors. Two million vacuum cleaners and dishwashers are built annually in Bielefeld.

It is said that as the builders of the railroad track came around the bend on the east side of the present site of Eureka and looked westward at the level land with no rocks and very little dirt to move they cried out, “Eureka!”, which translated from Greek means “I`ve found it!”. This is how Eureka received its name.

AEG, Electrolux, Electrolux Grand Cuisine, Electrolux Professional, Eureka, Frigidaire, Molteni, Westinghouse, Zanussi. Electrolux products sell under a variety of brand names (including its own), and are primarily major appliances and vacuum cleaners intended for home consumer use.
The C3`s biggest improvement over the C2 is its support of DTS audio formats; this makes it a much more interesting TV for home entertainment fans, as Blu-rays and DVDs tend to use DTS for their audio tracks.
H-Class is the better of the two, as it stops the release of more crystalline silica than the M-Class but is slightly more expensive to buy and service. The filters are also more expensive to replace, but the health of our waterproofing technicians is a higher priority than cost.
M-Class (medium hazard) – Filter efficiency of 99.9% – Suitable for a hobbyist workshop, or for plastering on-tool extraction. H-Class (high hazard) – Filter efficiency of 99.995% – The minimum for working with hazardous materials like silica dust, asbestos & lead paint.

I own a Eureka Optima 437 and one of the rear wheels are broken and cannot find parts for this. Where can I find parts for real wheel?
I have a rear wheel that came off too. The wheel seems fine, but the plastic base that the wheel clicks onto on the underside of the vac seems to have cracked. I need a new plastic bottom. Any ideas?
ANSWER : Called Eureka Customer Service and ordered another part. They are mailing it to me free of charge!

No more problem.

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums
ANSWER : Try replacing the belt. Rubber belts stretch out after about a year.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? The vacuum does not appear to be damage
ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.
.
.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

Unbeknownst to me, someone took the bag out of my Kenmore Progressive vacuum and failed to replace it. I have been vacuuming without a bag for months, and today the vacuum stopped sucking. When I opened up the front to replace the bag, tons of dirt and dust came pouring out. I thoroughly cleaned the vacuum, put in a new bag, but still no sucking power. Just dust coming from the rear vents where one of the filters is. Is the vacuum ruined, or is it a simple solution of buying a new filter?
ANSWER : Sounds like you need to buy a new motor. All that grit and dust will ruin a motor and I’m surprised it lasted as long as it did.
.This is where a vacuum that won’t run without a bag would have been nice. (Aerus for one)

I have a Eureka Boss Power Plus and the beater bar is rolling, the belt is turning, but after vacuuming up around the litter box (not a lot of litter), when I turn the vacuum off, the litter, or even household dirt, falls out. When I hold the vacuum back to turn it off so that it doesn’t fall on the floor, it’s sitting in the cubby where the wheels are. The bag is empty, the hose is not plugged, the hose is securely fitted on both ends of the unit. This vacuum was purchased in July and is being
ANSWER : Even though the brush is spinning, you probably need to replace the belt2_bing.gif because it is stretched. It is probably slipping on the beater bar. This is normal and you shouldn’t be alarmed. There is nothing wrong with your vacuum. 🙂

I have a Kenmore canister vacuum – model 25614506. Some time ago, I was not able to turn the vacuum off with the on/off switch, but could still use the vacuum. Turned if off/on by pulling the plug. The other day when I went to plug it in, I heard a pop. Now the sweeper runs but the vacuum cleaner does not **** – no air flow. What could be the problem. The cleaner is only 4 years old.
ANSWER : The motor has an inline fuse

I have a Kirby G4 Vacuum Cleaner – MOdel G4 D. I have never had any problems or repairs done to it in the past ten plus years that I’ve had it. This is an upright vacuum. I was vacuuming the carpet floor and was not having any trouble at all. I switched the vacuum off and moved it into a different room. When I tried to turn on the vacuum, it would not turn on. I checked with different outlets, used both front attachment and hose attachment. Checked the front part of the motor/ spiral case. This

My home has a central vacuum system hook-up but no vacuum installed. My friend upgraded his central system and gave me his Eureka Mega Boss central vacuum system and the accessories, including the pow
ANSWER : The power head requires 120 Volts. Some hoses have a receptacle in the handle for the power head plug, and the hose has a cord at the wall inlet end that plugs into a receptacle. Some hoses have a plug at the wall inlet end that plugs into a 120Volt receptacle built into the inlet. The hose plugs into this receptacle when you push the hose into the inlet. The power for this built-in receptacle is wired with line voltage when the system is installed.
