Eureka vacuum cleaners have been known for their excellent service and reliability in cleaning floors, carpets, rugs, upholstery and drapery for more than 100 years.
Broken or jammed wheels will make it hard to push the vacuum. Check for any hair or debris in or around the wheel that may be preventing rotation. Clean the wheel and the hinge and check for improvement.

Eureka upright vacuum cleaners come in bagged and bagless designs to suit the needs of all homeowners. Each of these vacuum cleaner styles require regular filter maintenance in order to keep filtration levels at their max, and consistently remove allergens from in-home air quality.
Our Verdict. The Dyson Ball Animal 2 and the Eureka FloorRover are both excellent options for cleaning pet hair, though the Dyson has a couple of advantages. The Dyson is slightly easier to maintain and has no recurring costs, while the Eureka has a HEPA filter that needs replacing on occasion.
Better suction, more intuitive smart features, and lower prices mean anyone looking to keep their floors clean should consider buying a robot vacuum. A lot of people ask us, “Do robot vacuums really work?” and “Are robot vacuums worth it?” After years of testing them in our labs, we can say, yes, robot vacuums do work.
The two main indicators to determine vacuum power performance are water lift and airflow. The water lift is measured in mmH2O, mbar or kPa. It represents the suction force and is the reference parameter for vacuuming liquids and heavy materials. The airflow is measured in m3/h or in l/s.
The suction power is to be measured at the end of the tube of a complete vacuum cleaner (i.e. with tube, hose and filters – but without nozzle). Some manufacturers show the results from measurements made at the suction of the actual vacuum cleaner.

One of the oldest and well-known tale revolves around Archimedes` legendary “Eureka!” moment while taking a bath in a tub, when he made a remarkable discovery, what is now known as the Archimedes Principle.
When you use a vacuum cleaner without a HEPA filter, these particles are stirred up and put back out into the air through your vacuum`s exhaust. Regular filters can`t remove these harmful particulates and this puts the people in your home at risk.
Locate the filters on your Eureka Power Speed vacuum. There may be a HEPA filter and a foam filter. Remove the filters and tap them gently on the side of a trash can to remove any excess debris. Rinse the filters in warm water and gently squeeze out any excess water.
The Eureka is better overall on bare floors and high-pile carpets, while the Shark generally performs better on low-pile carpets. That said, the Shark can be used in a handheld configuration, so it`s more suited to cleaning stairs or cars than the Eureka.
The Eureka Mighty Mite is a better vacuum than the Dirt Devil Endura Max, though they vary quite drastically in terms of design. As a result of its bagged design, the Eureka incurs higher recurring costs than the bagless Dirt Devil since you`ll need to replace its dirtbag once it`s filled up.
Most owners believe that running their robot vacuums four times per week is sufficient to keep the floors dust-free. However, if you have children or pets, you should use your robot vacuum more frequently. Daily vacuuming is recommended if you suffer from seasonal allergies.
1. Vacuuming only removes dirt and dust from the surface of your carpet. Even the most powerful vacuum cleaners leave things lurking beneath the surface of your carpet, including dust mites, dead skin cells, bacteria, pet dander, pollen, and allergens.
Start on the far edge of your carpet or rug and push the vacuum forward in a straight line. This movement lifts the nap (or fibers) of the floor covering to reveal any dirt or debris hidden underneath. Then pull the machine back slowly toward you to collect all that debris.
An upright vacuum cleaner should be around 100 air watts and a cylinder vacuum cleaner needs to be about 220 air watts.
Suction is ultimately what gives a given volume of air its speed or velocity by the vacuum motor. The more suction you have, the quicker a given volume of air is moved.
Suction pressure should be kept at less than 200 mmHg in adults. It should be set at 80 mmHg to 120 mmHg in neonates.
One of the easiest ways to increase vacuum cleaner suction is to empty the dust bag or container. Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Regularly check your dust compartment and empty or change it when it`s already 70-80% full.
