First, you need to vacuum up all loose dirt from the sofa surface. Next, spray water and cleaning agent evenly on the stained surface. For heavy dirt, spray and leave to work for at least 5 minutes. Then place the nozzle on the surface of upholstery and slowly vacuum up the moisture from the cleaning mixture.

Use the upholstery attachment on mattresses and fabric surfaces. Work in a horizontal or vertical motion from top to bottom. Use the crevice tool in the tight corners and seams. Use the dust brush on leather furniture to reduce any risk of scratching.

I have an Electrolux Oxygen 3 vacuum I purchased rebuilt. After 1 month the power stopped working. I took it into Electrolux Authorized repair dealer, which was a horrible experience. I have a Kirby Sentria and I just tried to use the shampooer. It is not spreading the foam, instead it comes out as a 1 1/2 in strip. The belt is on right, I took it off and put it back on. I don’t know what to do. Thanks

A. Check if the green light on the nozzle is on.

Check the brush roll to make sure it is not clogged and can move freely.

Check to make sure the belt is engaged.

Kirby shampooer The suds are not coming out of the shampooer. I made sure it was connected right. The sponge filter and the cap are attached.

ANSWER : On the shampooer tank, remove the screen cap from the little hole that the shampooer hose plugs onto. Clean the screen and make sure that it is not plugged up with debris. Make sure that the screen is securely glued to the cap all the way around the edge. (they sometimes come loose and this will cause the absence of foam) That little (approx. 1 inch diameter) screen is the main ingredient for the foam. The screened cap should fit firmly onto the outside of the little hole in the bottom of the edge of the tank.
.If none of this helps, remove the round sponge and look at the holes in the white plastic circle. Turn the on/off foam valve and make sure that the holes open up when the valve is turned to “on”. You can purchase and replace the on/off valve if it turns out to be the problem. You can also buy a replacement tank if you’re not inclined to mess with it.

ANSWER : Mine did the same thing.To date I have yet to find a replacement part.I do not think it is all that important either.And most likely not worth your time.

ANSWER : HERE is the shampooer manual. There is no suction involved picking up the water. It simply scrubs the solution off the rug and throws it in the tray in front of the Kirby vacuum.
