Possible Cause: Clogged Solution Tank Filter

A clogged filter will not allow any water to be released. The Fix: Remove and inspect the filter for a blockage. If the filter is dirty, remove any buildup and reconnect to the floor scrubber. Once free of debris, the machine should begin to distribute water again.

The most common cause of loss of suction is that the filters have become blocked. They may require cleaning or replacing. Another cause could be that the vacuum cleaner hose is blocked.
1-3 of 3 Answers. It is best to use the Hoover cleaning solution in the Hoover – FloorMate SpinScrub Hard Floor Cleaner. If you decide to use another brand, just be sure not to use a solvent based cleaning concentrates in your cleaner. Also, you cannot use any type of wax in the cleaner.
However, the Crosswave can also be used to vacuum larger debris on both hard surfaces and area rugs. Hoover`s Floormate cannot be used as a vacuum. To remove the brush, simply snap off the protective cover, and then pull the brush along the side “pull” hook.
Instead of using a vacuum bag, a wet and dry vacuum cleaner uses two bucket system for separating dry and wet waste. The collection chamber, and motor unit, and are the main parts of a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. The motor of the vacuum cleaner is situated on top of the collection chamber.
Gently tap the filter on the side of the rubbish to remove dust. Then use an old, soft toothbrush or paper towel to brush the rest of the debris off. Don`t rinse it – that`ll ruin the fibres. If it`s particularly dirty, you can use a handheld vacuum to gently suck up any dirt trapped in the fibres.
A diluted bleach mixture, commercial disinfectant and isopropyl alcohol are all good choices. A vinegar solution can work quite well to clean floors, but it is a weak disinfectant. Depending on the type of floor, your approach will vary.
WHY WON`T THE MACHINE PICK UP? The float in the dirty water tank may have been activated. Empty the dirty water tank and wait for the float to settle before re-starting the machine.
One of the easiest ways to increase vacuum cleaner suction is to empty the dust bag or container. Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Regularly check your dust compartment and empty or change it when it`s already 70-80% full.
Filters need to be cleaned

Rinse the filters with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Let the filters dry fully before putting them back into the vacuum. If your vacuum is still not picking up dirt, you may need to replace the filter.

You can use any brand in this machine. I have used bissle, hoover, even a Walmart pet one. They all work great.
For use on bare floors or sealed wood floors. Not for use on carpets.
In fact, vacuums are superior to mopping practices when it comes to your hardwood, because they suck up the debris and dirt straight away, rather than just spreading those scratch-causing particles around.
Regular vacuum cleaners are not designed to pick up water and other liquids. If you are ever tempted to run the vacuum cleaner over a puddle of water, remember that you run the risk of electrocution and serious damage to the machine.
Overall, if you`re interested in a vacuum that collects dust and dirt efficiently, a dry vacuum cleaner is for you. However, if you`re looking for a vacuum that sucks up larger and bigger quantities of debris and collects water safely, a wet vacuum cleaner would be recommended.
A dry vacuum system does not use water to generate suction. A wet vacuum needs significant water flow to generate suction.
Superior Suction Power Compared to Dry Vacuums

Due to the fact that they need to be able to lift water from carpets, furniture, and other surfaces, wet-dry vacuums have more powerful suction than dry vacuums do.

Can I soak my filter in vinegar? If you are cleaning a foam filter, you can add a few drops of vinegar to the water you are cleaning it with. However, if you are cleaning a cartridge or HEPA vacuum filter, do not use vinegar.
Any fine dust remaining in the filter can usually be removed with a gentle rinse under a cold tap – hold the filter under the running water until the water runs clear. You shouldn`t need to use any detergent – just water.
Place the removed vacuum parts in a sink or tub filled with warm, soapy water. Soak and rinse everything well with hot water. Use a faucet sprayer to quickly remove tough dirt and sticky residue. If needed, scrub with a sponge or microfiber cloth.
You`ll need it—the filter prevents dust from blowing out of the top while you`re cleaning. For wet surfaces, however, you`ll need to remove the filter entirely. Liquids will damage filters, and you could even potentially ruin your vacuum if you suck up water before removing the filter.
Filters are a critical component of a vacuum system. Together, with a good motor and effective seals, good filtration is essential to the performance of a vacuum. Filters are also important in maintaining the air quality of the space within which you`re working.
Vacuum, dust or wipe with a lightly dampened mop – never use soap-based detergents, as they can leave a dull film on the floor, and avoid over-wetting. Don`t use wax polish either, as this will make the floor slippery. To remove marks and stains, use a dilute solution of water and vinegar.

My filter queen just had the motor rebuilt last year and was basically a brand new unit when I got it back. It is not picking anything up now when I vacuum. The beater bar on the carpet attachment is turning fine and when I take all the attachments off the hose I can feel the suction being created like it should be picking up debris just fine. I have emptied the canister even when it did not have much in it; however, it still will not pick anything up off the carpet. It picks up debris tempo
ANSWER : It sounds as if you have a clog inside the “Power Nozzel”. They mention that there are “no user serviceable parts within the Majestic® Power Nozzle” My advice would be to see if you can see a clog with in reachable distance and try to remove the clog. One way to check for a clog which may work for you is to remove the attachment and shine a flashlight on one of of the attachment and look through the other side and see if you see light, if no light, most likely a clog. Past that you might void the warrenty if you try and open it up the Power Nozzel itself. You may want to ask a Phone service rep about clog removal.

The vacuum cleaner does not pick up anything from carpet. It does not even pick up pieces of thread laying on carpet. On tile floors it blows dirt away instead of picking it up. I’ve tried all the settings on the brush and nothing works. It has done this since new

My electrolux oxygen cannister has the “bag change” light on when there is a new bag. The light stays on when the suction power is high (to pick up small particles) and it won’t pick up, but the ight goes off when the suction power is low (to pick up big objects). I changed the hepa filter, cleaned the motor filter and changed bags, but all that didn’t help.
ANSWER : You may have a clog in the hose, and/or the inlet by the brush roll. A clog will turn on that light as well as a full bag.
