The Flow Indicator shows the flow of water and solution in machine. When the flow indicator stops spinning, you will need to fill the tank with more solution. The flow indicator does not spin when using the hose.
Flow Indicator

This is located on the machine base. It spins when the trigger is pressed to indicate that the machine is applying cleaning solution to the carpet and will stop spinning when the formula tank or bladder needs to be refilled, or when the trigger is released.

[00:01:18.97] The light will blink red when the unit is charging without a full battery. When fully charged, the light will be solid green.
A possible cause might be that the tank is not properly seated. To assure the tank is seated properly, pick it up and re-seat is so it sits snugly on the unit. If this doesn`t fix the problem, make sure the tank is assembled properly. To make sure they are both latched properly, pick the tank up by its handle.
You may have stalled the brush motor. To reset, turn off and unplug, then plug back in and turn on. The brush roll may have lodged debris or other entanglements keeping the brush from rotating. To fix, you`ll need to remove the brush roll to inspect.
If brush will not turn by hand, or belt is broken, replace the damaged part by ordering online at BISSELL.com. Clean off any debris on the brush. If the brush is still not turning, please take the unit to an Authorized Service Center to have a Quality Technician inspect the unit.
Locate the brush reset button on the lower back right of the vacuum. Press the button to reset the brushroll To ensure the brush has been reset, plug the vacuum back into the electrical outlet.
The level you set your vacuum depends on the height of your carpet. For bare floors, use the lowest or bare floor setting, for short and medium pile carpets use a medium setting and finally, for plush carpets use the highest setting.
The suction power indicator tells you when the air flow in your vacuum is reduced due to dirty filters or a clog in the hose. The suction power indicator will remain green until the airflow is reduced.
Unplug your machine to reset the brush. While unplugged, remove the brush window and brush roll from your machine, by pulling the tab. Take out the obstruction that was causing the machine to stop working. Once the obstruction is removed, you may reassemble the brush roll and brush window.
Hand wash in warm water and rinse well; mild detergent may be used if desired. Press the tank release button and pull out to remove dirt tank. Allow filter to air dry completely before placing back into the tank lid.
Make sure the power cord and the plug are not damaged. If either are, contact our Consumer Care team. Make sure the outlet works by plugging in a cell phone charger or small appliance. If it doesn`t work, check another outlet.
Bissell Proheat Deep Cleaner

It features a patented hot water heater that provides maximum steam cleaning effectiveness via continuously heated cleaning action. The unit`s 12 amp cleaning system is quite powerful, removing tough and ground in dirt and stains from carpeting, upholstery, and other fabrics.

If the roller brush is not spinning, it cannot pick up dust. One reason could be that the power button is not set to position II, which runs the roller brush. If the button does not work, here is the link to the power button replacement guide. Another reason is that the roller brush could be broken.
To power on the machine, step on the red Power Switch Pedal located on the back of the vacuum by the bottom. If there is still no power, unplug your machine from the wall. Check the entire length of the power cord, and discontinue use if there is any damage.
If your agitator doesn`t spin when the machine is running, the belt could be stretched or broken. Here`s how to find out: Making sure your vacuum is unplugged, turn the power head over and attempt to spin the agitator by hand. If the agitator spins freely without resistance, the belt is broken and needs to be replaced.
Long Lasting 30 Minute Battery

The powerful 36V Li-Ion battery gives 30 minutes of cordless cleaning time, without being tied to a plug socket or getting tangled in the cord.

Regardless of what symptoms you`re noticing, the battery light is telling you a simple truth: you have battery problems, and your car isn`t getting enough current from the battery to operate correctly. That means it`s time to take action, starting with some simple maintenance.
When the battery charge level is critically low (less than 3%) the orange light will blink rapidly.
The international standard usually divides the vacuum into four levels: low vacuum, medium vacuum, high vacuum, and ultra-high vacuum.
The two main indicators to determine vacuum power performance are water lift and airflow. The water lift is measured in mmH2O, mbar or kPa. It represents the suction force and is the reference parameter for vacuuming liquids and heavy materials. The airflow is measured in m3/h or in l/s.
It is obtained by measuring how many inches up a tube the vacuum motor`s intake can pull up, or lift, the water. For the Water Lift test, there is no air moving through the motor. It is a sealed suction measurement to find the pure suction force of the motor.
On the average, it will take approximately 2-4 hours for carpet and upholstery to dry after being carpet cleaned. To expedite the drying process, you will want to use a fan and increase your air circulation.

Bissell Pro Heat 7901 will spay through hose but not the floor and red flow indicator will not spin. So we took the housing off and after unclogging a hose running to the hearter, my husband unhooked the hose that goes to the flow indicator, blew in it and it started spinning. Put the deep cleaner back together, tried to use it and nothing. What else can we try? Can’t afford to put it in the shop right now. Thanks in advance.
ANSWER : I borrowed my friends bissell to clean my carpet. It’s the 7901. He brought it over and told me that it only sprayed out of the attachment hose. He said he couldn’t figure out what was wrong. I’m no vacuum technician but, I am a mechnic. I decided to open her up and check it out. After about two hours it was back together and working. The reason I replied to your e-mail was because we have the same problem. I couldn’t find an answer to this problem on this site so I will tell you what I found and hopefully it will help you. In removing the cover where the red heating light is, there is the heating unit for the water. In my case it is silver and it will get very hot so be careful. Notice that there is two water hoses connected to it. I removed this heater and found one of the connectors where the water hose goes was clogged. I took the back off the heater and used my air compressor to blow out the connector, and sure enough something flew out. Hope this helps. [email protected]

Bissell Pro-Heat 7901-1 no cleaning solution is pumped out. The flow indicator is spinning and the belt is spinning the beater bar. Have cleaned the flow indicator, checked vavles in the solution tank and water tank and they are working properly. Also checked the trigger to make sure it works okay. Any ideas?? Moody Fan
ANSWER : Bissell Pro Heat shampooer – Fill the soap dispenser with extremely hot water and shampoo with only water for a few minutes. There is often dried soap in the lines. Make sure that all filters are clean. Press the soap container and the water container firmly into place so that there is a good seal.
.My repairman told me that after you finish shampooing your rugs be sure to fill the soap dispenser with very, very hot water and go over your rug until the water runs clean (not bubbly). This ensures that all the tubes are clear of clean and there is no remaining soap. He said that this is the reason for the vast majority of his repairs. My machine is about 10 years old and has been working great as long as I remember to run it with clear water when I’m done.

I have a Bissell Pro Heat 2X carpet cleaner and the brushes spin, then stop. I turn it off and when I re-start, the brushes do not spin until I push foreward. The it spins and stops again. Both belts are tight. The brushes spin if held above the carpet, but upon contact with carpet it stops. Same thing on a hard surface.
ANSWER : The reason for the brushes to stop when it is above any surface is there is a switch in the handle that stops the brushes so it dont burn your motor up it may have a faulty switch.

I have a Eureka 5902AVZ and the brushroll does not work. when i remove the belt, which is not torn nor worn out, the motor spins perfectly fine. Though when i put the brushroll back into place, it shows that the motor is trying to spin, but with resistance. it seems the brushroll will not spin if locked into place, because there is no attachment on the left side of the brushroll that will allow it to spin freely with the belt. am I missing some parts or is there something else wrong?
ANSWER : Hi and welcome to Fixya. I am Kelly.
.
.You have correctly identified the problem as the brush roll itself.
.
.There is a bearing under each end cap of the brush roll. You can gain access to the bearings usually by gripping the browah roll end caps and rotate the caps in opposing but loosening (ccw rt / cw left) directions.
.
.Many times I have found that there is just a mass of hair under the end cap that functions like a brake. Clean it up really well on under BOTH end caps.
.
.Do a spin test by putting the end caps back on (Hold it horizontal) and rotating the brush roll with your thumbs. It should spin freely.
.
.If it feels like there is still friction then your probably going to have to take the brush roll with you down to the nearest vacuum cleaner repair / supply shop and get 2 new bearings. Most shops will install the NEW bearings for you if you have the brush roll in hand. It is a much cheaper fix than the brush roll itself.
.
.(buy a new belt too!)
.
. Take care

Flow indicator not spining
ANSWER : Yes I also had this problem after just one use. There’s several things that you should check. 1. pull side panel off where the belt is located and see if the liquid in the clear tubbing is flowing.I there is a bubble in the line the pump has lost it’s prime and needs to be turned off for a minute then restarted. 2. make sure the belt is not broken this drives the solution pump and well as the cleaning wheel. 3. the lines that the solution flow though are clogged. always rinse the machine with water when done cleaning. Good luck.
