Hoover F7220900 SteamVac V2 Upright Vacuum\015 Hello, My name is Steve and I have a Hoover Steam Vac V2 Deep Cleaner. The Model # is F7220-900 I took it apart to fix it because after a long time of no use I found the brushes were not spinning ant longer. I found the drive gears to be frozen up within the turbine drive unit. My problem is, when I was taking it apart to fix it I noticed a small rubber o ring on my table and I cant tell by looking at the parts exactly where it goes. The manual I have and the on line manual do not show an exploded view of all the part breakdowns so I cant use that. I have called several repair places and they basically wont help and tell me I have to buy the turbine assembly. I am not sure if the o ring even goes in that assembly. I cleaned the steel shafts that the gears that are attached to them and cleaned inside the mating plastic housings where the shafts slide into and re-lubed them. That assembly works fine now. Can you help me by telling me where that o ring goes?\015

Although Hoover of course recommend their own detergent, we are using a 50/50 mixture of white vinegar and water, with a few drops of essential oil (tea tree oil) in it to improve the fragrance. This has worked well for us and is very inexpensive.
There is condensation in the stand steamer`s hose To solve this, lift your stand steamer`s head to straighten the hose vertically and hold your steamer in an upright position: This will allow any condensation and steam to flow again. After this, your stand steamer should steam again.
Clean your steam cleaner with water and empty it. Pour some water and add laundry detergent to it. Mix it well. Power on it and use it similarly to the way you use vacuum cleaners.
Ultimately, running your vacuum over your carpets after a professional deep clean is great but remember to do it only after your carpet is completely dry. Vacuuming your carpet when it`s still damp could cause dirt to be transferred from your vacuum cleaner, so patience does pay off.
Constructed of durable polyethylene, this recovery tank is a direct replacement for the one that came with your Mytee extractor. It is where all of the dirty water is kept until you are done using your carpet cleaner.
KEY TAKEAWAYS: Bagged vacuum cleaners comprise six main parts, including angled fan blades, a porous bag, an exhaust port, an intake port, an electric motor, and a housing unit. Extra attachments include brush heads, vacuum hoses, and angular suction tools.

No steam My SV1000 steam cleaner will not make steam. It heats up, but I think the small portholes where the steam comes out are clogged up. Are parts available to change the steam line?
ANSWER : I used the straw to prime the lines and 50/50 mix of vinager and water and it worked perfectly. I then mixed the water container with the same mix and ran it through the system. All works fine now.

Parts replacement We have a Hoover Steam Vac that has a broken part #10 in your picture or Part # 37271035. Does this part cover the whole top section of the Vac? Is it hard to replace? Where can you get the best prices on Hoover parts? I have been on Hoovers website and they don’t even recognize this Steam Vac. which is hard to believe they don’t even recognize their own unit? Thanks Ray
ANSWER : This the hood or top cover. There some screws on the bottom as well as on the top, then it comes off.
While using my mop yesterday, it stopped letting steam come out. Tonight I plugged it up again and you could hear it trying to steam. I push the button in to release the square frame and it pushed out a burst of steam and pushed the head off. Put it back together and it still will not let steam out. No matter how much water is in it.
