Hoover H3030 FloorMate SpinScrub 500 Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum\015 My FloorMate Plus Hard Floor Cleaner is not dispensing liquid. Sometimes it does, but mostly it doesn’t. It worked fine till a couple weeks ago. I’ve checked & re-checked that the selectors are in the right position and the liquid dispenser is installed correctly. When the liquid dispenser is removed and I press up slightly on the drain valve at the bottom of the dispenser, liquid flows out freely so I know the suction vent valve on the top of the dispenser is working fine too. If there’s a part that I should disassemble to inspect, clean, or fix, I don’t mind doing that but don’t want to tamper with what I don’t need to!\015

For regular mopping /scrubbing of surface with normal soil : Use 10ml of clean scrub per litre of water. For heavily soiled surfaces with stubborn dirt: Use 20ml clean scrub per litre of water.

Overall, if you`re interested in a vacuum that collects dust and dirt efficiently, a dry vacuum cleaner is for you. However, if you`re looking for a vacuum that sucks up larger and bigger quantities of debris and collects water safely, a wet vacuum cleaner would be recommended.
A dry vacuum system does not use water to generate suction. A wet vacuum needs significant water flow to generate suction.
What Is the Difference Between `Water Vacuum Cleaner vs Dry` There are important differences between these two types of vacuum cleaners. Ensure proper maintenance on the rubber brushes, and filter is also being performed. If the brushes are not spinning properly, this could cause Roomba® to fail to pick up debris off the floor.
Filters need to be cleaned
Rinse the filters with lukewarm water until the water runs clear. Let the filters dry fully before putting them back into the vacuum. If your vacuum is still not picking up dirt, you may need to replace the filter.
Laundry Detergents aren`t Formulated for Carpet Cleaning
Cleaning solutions are specifically formulated to clean and not damage the machines they`re used in and the material they`re treating. Laundry soap is designed to be used in washing machines to clean clothing.
You can use any brand in this machine. I have used bissle, hoover, even a Walmart pet one. They all work great.

ANSWER : With the tank off, can you see if the rod in the handle is hitting the spot where the tank sits on, if not then there is a problem in the handle. If it is, then the reservior asm may be bad, it is what the tank sits on.

Hoover floormate Hi, I’m not sure what the model number is on my Hoover Floormate, but I can’t get the cleaning liquid to dispense. The vacuum(dry pickup works fine). The handle squeezes without a problem. It used to work without a problem and then I didn’t use it for awhile. When I came back to it, it wasn’t working. Thanks, Alissa
ANSWER : The tank sits on what is called the reservior asm. it is actuated by the control rod inside the handle. With the tank off, watch and see if you can see that rod hitting the reservior asm when you squeeze the trigger. If it is moving up and down on it, then the resorvior asm may be bad. Also check the valve at the bottom of the tank, manually push it in and see if it releases water.

ANSWER : I had the same problem and was preparing to take it back, the last thing I tried was to ‘reseat’ the handle — I removed it then snapped it very firmly back into place. That did it, it’s working beautifully now!

I have a Hoover Platinum carpet cleaner, and it has stopped dispensing cleaning agent and water. This model has a separate tank for water and separate tank for shampoo dispensing. Hetty hoover not working. It was working ok until I opened it up to search the bag for a missing jigsaw piece and I put it all back and I hoovered the mess on the floor, then switched off and switched on and hoover would not work? Is there a cut off button on Hetty hoovers?
ANSWER : Know cut off switch, its just not getting power ? 2 things its ether at the wall plug or in side the unit. I have never found a fuse in side them , so it may be just a lose wire did you try other plugs in the house . good luck DFD

ANSWER : First make sure that you are getting suction from the bottom of he machine. Most of the time the squeegee is worn out which does not allow it to pick up the water like it use to. Turn over the machine and inspect .the squeegee. If it looks worn or bent then it may be time to replace .it. You may also consider replacing the filter. These are the two most. common parts that wear out.

Hoover steam vac model 5853-900 has 5 brushes/cleaning dispensers, am only getting 2 small trickles of fluid when I dispense fluid onto carpet
ANSWER : The brushes come off, they are clipped on as an assembly if you look at the bottom of the machine you can see where the cover for the vacuum slot that brings up the water clips on too. If you remove that you can see the clips that hold the brush unit better
