Hoover U8147-900 WindTunnel V2 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum\015 My brand new vacuum has a LOUD whistle. I’ve tried to isolate when exactly it whistles, but it doesn’t seem particular…when I am using just the hose, or brushes….it whistles…extremely annoying! Could I have forgotten to remove something when I unpackaged it?\015

Clogged Hose

If the vacuum is making a whistling noise, the hose of the vacuum may be clogged with dirt or debris. Use a moist paper towel and/or a long object such as a dowel or a ruler to clean away any obstructions.

MAINTENANCE: both the Hoover and the Dyson are bagless, equipped with a dirt cup/dust bin. After your vacuuming chore, simply detach the dirt cup/dust bin and press a button to release all the accumulated dirt.
The Hoover® WindTunnel Whole House Rewind is ideal for Whole Home Cleaning from floor to ceiling and delivers powerful performance on every surface. WindTunnel technology and Multi-Cyclonic filtration lifts and removes surface debris and deep down embedded dirt with no loss of suction.

Check the Rotator Brush and Wheels

Sometimes pieces of string or other objects get wrapped around your vacuum`s rotating brush or around the wheels of the vacuum. Unplug your vacuum. Turn it over and have a look at the wheels and brush. If you see any pieces of string or objects lodged there, remove them.

Many cleaners are made with plastic bodies, which make loud noises when they vibrate. The motor – the motor could be the main cause of a vacuum cleaner being loud. As the motor spins around inside the machine, it moves the belt and uses electricity, but at the same time, also produces a loud noise.
Based on the vacuums we`ve tested in our labs, bag vacuums tend to have more raw power, while bagless vacuums are more maneuverable. Interestingly, this has less to do with a choice between bags or dirt cups, and more to do with the companies that make them.
One of the benefits of bagless vacuum cleaners is their suction power. These vacuum cleaners don`t lose their suction often as compared to their bagged counterparts. Bagged vacuum cleaners tend to lose their suction as the bag starts filling. Even if they lose suction, these vacuum cleaners can find their clog easily.
A cyclonic vacuum cleaner, pulls the dirt and dust at high speed through a filter and into a collection vessel. A small air vortex is made inside the bin by the motor, which separates the particles from the air and pushes them to the sides of the bin.
Hoover recommend that you replace the filters once per year and you can purchase these from the spares section of our website. To keep your cleaner giving the best suction power and picking up efficiently we recommend that you empty the dust box when it is 2/3 full.
You cannot clean a HEPA filter by using something like a vacuum because the particles are trapped not only on the surface of the filter but also deep inside the media,” Bloemer says. Don`t even think about running it under your sink, either—liquids like water and soap will destroy the filter media, he adds.
Evidence shows that a HEPA vacuum with properly designed seals does a better job of collecting contaminants than the average non-HEPA vacuum. This will be particularly helpful for allergy sufferers, as a HEPA vacuum traps dust, dust mites and pet dander better than non-HEPA vacuums.
If you`re smelling rubber, the belt has either burned out and snapped or the belt has become so stretched out that the roller is not moving and the vacuum belt is getting super heated from the motors RPM.
One of the easiest ways to increase vacuum cleaner suction is to empty the dust bag or container. Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Regularly check your dust compartment and empty or change it when it`s already 70-80% full.
The most common problems found in vacuum cleaners are low suction force, excessive noise, burning smell, vacuum not turn on, and overheating. These issues can be fixed by either cleaning the device or replacing some parts of the device. At times, it is best to seek a professional to fix the cleaner effectively.
While bagless uprights may be a bit louder and heavier than their more expensive counterparts, they tend to come with all the essential attachments and features to clean your carpet.
If you own a bagless vacuum model, the dustbin can still be coated with a thin layer of dust even after you empty it. This can also produce lingering pet odors, just when you thought you`d disposed of the smelly evidence.
Bagless vacuums are not the best choice for those with allergies or those sensitive to dust. They can be messy when emptied and release particles back into the air.
The best vacuum in a laboratory setting has a pressure around 13 picoPascals (13 x 1012 Pa). A cryogenic vacuum system achieves a near-perfect vacuum with a pressure around 6.7 femtoPascals (6.7 x 10-15 Pa). In comparison, atmospheric pressure is around 100 kPa or 100,000 Pa.
Rough vacuum: 760 to 25 Torr. Medium vacuum: 25 to 1×103 Torr. High vacuum: 1×103 to 1×109 Torr. Ultra-high vacuum: 1×109 to 1×1012 torr. Extremely high vacuum: Less than 1×1012 Torr.
It`s important to remember that while it may be tempting to save money by purchasing a lower-priced vacuum cleaner, high-quality products are often worth the higher price due to their durability, performance, and effectiveness.
How Often to Clean a Bagless Vacuum. Give your bagless vacuum a thorough cleaning every six months, or more frequently if you`re a member of the frequent vacuumer club (having shedding pets automatically makes you a member!).
Don`t be tempted to reuse vacuum cleaner bags. Your motives may be pure, but your air won`t be, and your vacuum cleaner may bite the dust (pun intended) years before its time.
Cyclone or air bagged vacuums are less prone to clogging up with dust and other debris from your home. In the Advantage design, the smallest hole size is 0.6mm on the Mesh Filter, which is positioned before the internal cyclones, making it extremely difficult for large particles to enter.

You can try and find a repair shop but be careful, they sometimes tell you the part is not available and try to sell you something else. Hoover Windtunnel My Hoover Windtunnel is 3 years old. It worked great until yesterday when it lost all suction. I have followed the manual to trouble shoot any possible clogs and could find none. Then I noticed that when I remove the dirt collection cup and held my hand over the vent the suction is fine and strong. So… I replaced the hepa filter thinking that might be the problem. That didnt’ work. The motor runs fine. The suction without the dirt cup inserted is strong. As soon as you insert
ANSWER : Either the hose has a clog, or the inlet down by the belt is clogged. Is there suction at the end of the hose, if not then it is clogged. If there is suction, then it has to be clogged down below by the brush roll, check that inlet. There also is a filter at the bottom where the dirt cup (and bag) is, check it also.
