A steam cleaner uses actual steam to clean various types of surfaces, and this steam can damage carpet fibers and remove the protection. A carpet cleaner is designed to force a mixture of hot water and cleaning solution into the carpet to clean deep down.
Although some carpet steamers and cleaners have a suction mechanism to remove the cleaning fluid and water from your carpet after cleaning the area, you should only use them for steaming or cleaning a carpet and never use them like a vacuum cleaner.
Constructed of durable polyethylene, this recovery tank is a direct replacement for the one that came with your Mytee extractor. It is where all of the dirty water is kept until you are done using your carpet cleaner.
Wet/dry vacuums can vacuum up large quantities of standing water very quickly. One way to know if the canister is full: the motor sound changes, indicating this its speed has changed.
A good rule of thumb is to have your carpet professionally steam cleaned at least once a year, twice if you seem to track a lot of dirt in. This way you get a good, deep cleaning and don`t let the dirt build up. Vacuum once or twice a week to keep it clean in between your steam cleaning sessions.
When choosing between steam cleaning and shampooing your carpet, you really can`t go wrong with both, but steam cleaning would be the better option. It removes more unseen pests and dirt, and can handle heavy-duty cleaning without making you wait long for drying.
Steamers are best for a hygienic clean, removing invisible dirt and allergens. They can loosen fresher stains on a carpet, too. They are often smaller and easier to use. This makes them great for a quick refresh or targeting smaller zones such as high-traffic areas if you don`t need to do a full deep clean.
A dust extractor is similar to a shop vac, but can move a larger volume of air. Dust extractors also have better filters, typically HEPA grade that traps airborne dust down to 0.3 microns. Consider it a portable dust collector that you can take with you to the job site!
Steam cleaners are a wonderful way to deep-clean many types of surfaces since they don`t use harsh chemicals. Hard surfaces easily cleanable with a steam cleaner include countertops, kitchen & bathroom fixtures, some types of flooring, as well as other impervious surfaces.

Tank cleaning is the process of removing hydrocarbon vapors, liquids, or residues from cargo tanks onboard a tanker. Tank cleaning may be required for one or more of the following reasons: To gas-free tanks for internal inspections, repairs, or before entering the dry dock.
As a tank cleaner, you wash and clean the interior of a tank. You may drain and scrape it using a pressure washer, broom, or another tool to ensure it is as clean as possible. In this context, a tank is a storage device that holds any material in bulk, including vats, kettles, chutes, and some trucks.
A Vacuum Reservoir stores the highest vacuum created. Then, the booster has it when you hit the pedal. This is a simple and cost-effective solution if the idle vacuum is borderline. The downside of a reservoir is limited capacity. Depending on driving conditions, the vacuum can get used up.

Not all messes are created equally, which is why a wet-dry vacuum that can handle wet or dry spills can be a useful tool for households big and small. “Wet-dry vacuums are extremely versatile and help to safely clean liquids and dirt in and outside your home,” says Leanne Stapf, COO of The Cleaning Authority.

Need instructions how to use Hoover Steam Vac Spin Scrub. I borrowed it from my Sister and she left it with no instruction book or letting me know how to operate it. I put water & cleaner in top tank. That’s all I know to do. Do I put any water in bottom tank? I figured not, since that is probably where the water goes when sucked up by vac. Do I leave lid on bottom tank? I usually use a commercial cleaner, and this is very different. I need to know NOW, as I must return it to her today, and I’m

Turbine Hi I found out through your site that my turbin is bad on my steam vac and I found some information as well on how to disasemble the steam vac to get to the turbine but still was wondering if there were some more detailed instructions on how to remove the turbin. I am a sigle mom and doing the work on the steam vac myself and need a little more detailed instructions. Please help asap and have a bless day.
ANSWER : There are some screws on the bottom that have to come out so you can remove the top housing. Take the brush block out, there are 2 screws above where it sits. The turbine sits near the front, and in the mid section, 2 screws on the front of it and 2 long screws from underneath, if you already haven’t removed them. Unhook the hoses to it thenpick it out and replace with the new one. ( Some models near the back of the housing, is a catch on each side that you have to unhook to release the top).

Dirt devil vacuum cleaner–trouble vacuuming dirt and pet hair on carpeting –is the problem with the spinning brush which contacts the floor,  not contacting the carpeting??  I thought (when I bought this vacuum) that the aforementioned brush was adjustable to various heights of carpeting.  Sometimes, it seems like nothing is being vacuumed up –unless I have just put a new bag on the vacuum… Do I need or can I replace the spinning brush on the bottom of the vacuum so it kicks up and vacuums
ANSWER : Try replacing the belt. Rubber belts stretch out after about a year.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? The vacuum does not appear to be damage
ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.
.
.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

My Hoover Steam Vac Spin Scrub aw/ Clean Surge
ANSWER : Greetings,

.A few more things that you can try on your SteamVac. First remove the dirty water solution tank from the machine completely. You should see where the solution tank was just sitting, a plastic casing with a whole in it. This is actually where the suction from the motor goes into. Turn the machine on and feel the hole there for any suction coming out. Did you feel suction coming from the hole? If yes, then your issue is going to be something with the dirty solution tank, because without the tank it’s sucking fine. If you didn’t feel any suction from this hole, it may indicate that there is something more serious that needs to be taken care of.
.
.One other place you may look on your machine (as long as the upholstery hose for stairs and furniture is already attached to the machine, and you don’t have to hook anything up to the dirty water tank to use the attachments) while the dirty solution tank is out of it, is where the attachment hose makes connection with the vacuum. If you recline the handle down while you have the dirty water tank out, look in the back of the handle housing for a hose that enters the housing 3/4 down the housing. Now follow the hose on the inside of the handle not the outside, follow it up to the point where it goes into the neck, near where the suction hole is. Right at the end of the hose, right before the hose cuff, is this ripped, or damaged here?
