Where do I find my Model Number? Model information is displayed on the product`s “DATAPLATE” label on the bottom or backside of the unit.
The most common problem with a vacuum cleaner is also the easiest to remedy: clogs in the hose or attachments. Also the electrical cord, motor, switch, fan, brushes, and motor bearings can all need repair or replacement. The drive belt may need replacing; and the attachments, hoses, and filters may need unclogging.
This label is placed in a different location depending on the model, however most will be found on the power head. To the left there is a close-up example of a serial label. The arrow is pointing to the location on the serial label you will find your model number.
Most of the time, you`ll find your full model number is on an information plate, which can be found: At the back of the machine. On the bottom of the machine.
For most models, the lowest setting is optimal for bare floors or thin carpeting. The middle setting offers the best suction for slightly fuller carpets. The highest setting is best for plush carpets or area rugs.
How to Deep-Clean a Vacuum. While you should clean some individual parts more often, the Vacuum Experts say it`s a good rule of thumb to take apart the entire vacuum and scrub it down about once a year.

Parts replacement We have a Hoover Steam Vac that has a broken part #10 in your picture or Part # 37271035. Does this part cover the whole top section of the Vac? Is it hard to replace? Where can you get the best prices on Hoover parts? I have been on Hoovers website and they don’t even recognize this Steam Vac. which is hard to believe they don’t even recognize their own unit? ANSWER : This the hood or top cover. There some screws on the bottom as well as on the top, then it comes off.

HI, I’m trying to find a part for a Sharp upright vacuum. Its the back part of the handle where the cord is stored. I have taken it off but can’t find any part # on it. The model number for the vacuum is EC12TWT4. I was thinking that if I could find a free owner’s manual, that would give me the part # and then I could look for it on the net.

No Suction I have a dc18 dyson and it had lost suction from the main hoover and the hose part. If you remove the dust collection part there is suction from the hole behind that part. I have cleaned all part to this hoover but the problem is still there. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks
ANSWER : Filter removal step 1Turn power off and unplug the machine.

- To remove the washable filter: Remove the clear bin™ and cyclone top from your machine by pressing the cyclone release catch.

- Lift the filter release catch to remove the filter from the machine.*
*The permanent filter located under the clear bin™ shouldlast the lifetime of the machine and does not need to be washed. Pleasedo not remove this filter.

- Soak the filter in cold water for at least 5 minutes. (Please do not use detergent, wash in a dishwasher or washing machine).
- After 5 minutes rinse the filter under cold running water and squeeze gently, repeating until the water runs clear.
- Leave the filter to dry in a warm place for 12 hours or until completely dry.
- Do not dry the filter in a tumble dryer, microwave, oven or near a naked flame.

The filter should be washed at least once every 3-6 months.
Turn power off and unplug the machine..

- Make sure the filter is completely dry before replacing in the machine.
- Replace the filter into the filter casing and then put back into the cyclone top.
- Re-assemble and test the machine.

Filter I bought this Hoover a few years ago– just now about to use it first time. I cannot find my user’s manual and don’t know how to change the filter– or to clean it or whatever I am supposed to do with it. Also, there is a handle on one side of the unit that seems to be attached to an empty chamber or canister kind of thing. It looks like it should pull out, but it does not budge. I am trying to find out a part number for a rubber gasket that goes on the inside of a Hoover Windtunnel Cyclonic Platinum BAgless upright. The female part of the catch which holds the lid to the accessories compartment closed has broken. This forms part of the handle to the vacuum cleaner.We’ve had the vacuum for less than a year but cant find the receipt so i think i will just have to pay for the parts.
