Where do I find my Model Number? Model information is displayed on the product`s “DATAPLATE” label on the bottom or backside of the unit.
You will find the model number on a sticker or rating plate. This can usually be found either on or behind the door frame, or behind the removable kickplate panel at the bottom of the machine.
With vacuum bags, the air inside these items is sucked out, and their bulky size is reduced to a fraction of their initial volume. The bags also keep items away from dust and moisture, and they allow you to have additional free space in your room.
HEPA is an acronym for “high-efficiency particulate air.” HEPA is a type of filter that can trap a large number of very small particles that other vacuum cleaners would simply recirculate back into the air of your home. 1. Standard wind tunnel models, also known as reference models, calibration models (French: maquettes d`étalonnage) or test check-standards are objects of relatively simple and precisely defined shapes, having known aerodynamic characteristics, that are tested in wind tunnels.
In equation form: v = Q/A, where v is wind speed, Q is volumetric flow rate, and A is cross section area. The volumetric flow rate is the CFM rating, and the flow cross section area is just 1ft^2 since the test section is 1ft by 1ft. So, you`ll end up with a number measured in feet/minute.
The wind tunnel, called JF-22, has a diameter of 4 metres (13 feet) and can generate incredibly high airflow speeds of up to 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) per second. This makes it capable of simulating hypersonic flight conditions up to Mach 30, which is 30 times the speed of sound.
Most wind tunnels are just long, straight boxes, or open-circuit (open-return) tunnels. However, some are built in closed circuits (or closed return), which are basically ovals that send the air around and around the same path, like a racetrack, using vanes and honeycomb panels to precisely guide and direct the flow.

Vacuum cleaners use an electric motor that spins a fan, sucking in air – and any small particles caught up in it – and pushing it out the other side, into a bag or a canister, to create the negative pressure.
A manual sweeper is used to clean floors, just like a vacuum cleaner. It houses a set of rollers which, when pushed along the floor, rotate and sweep dirt into an integrated container.
Diffusers are important components in fluid systems such as wind tunnels. The main role of a diffuser is to reduce the dynamic pressure and convert it to static pressure, resulting in a reduced loss in the downstream flow.

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

Hoover Wind Tunnel U6458-900
Self Propel doesn’t work – via other expert advice here for other models of Hoover – I’m thinking it is the actuator that needs to be replaced as I can see the cable does not connect to anything on the bottom. My problem is – I can’t get the cover off. Been trying for a couple of hours. I removed every screw I can seem to find but something is hold it down. I also am wondering if/when I do eventually get the cover off, would I need to replace the cable when I replac

Hoover Bagless Hello, My Hoover bag less (Model U5280-900) is not picking up dirt like it should. The brush roll is spinning fine, but the bristles on it are only about one quarter inch long. ANSWER : If the belt is more than six months old then change it even if it is not broken. then replace your filters if that doesnt work than check the hoses for a clog drop a marble down them and make sure it comes out.

Repplacing power cord on Hoover Wind tunnel (not self propelled)
ANSWER : I am thinking that the cord goes in on the back, just below the handle. Remove the handle, then from the front, remove the tool holder(#8), then you can get to where the cord comes in and hooks up.

ANSWER : Did you check down by the brush roll for a clog in the dirt inlet. And is the brush roll turning freely, if it is being lugged down, it can cause the motor to overheat and the thermo protector will caught it off, until the motor cools down. But if both are ok, then maybe the motor protector needs to replaced, it is prematurely tripping.

Changing belts on Hoover wind tunnel U6401
ANSWER : Take off the bottom plate covering the brush roll, 4 screws. There are 2 belts, if you replace both, put the V belt on 1st, then stretch the flat belt over the motor shaft, then over the bigger pulley along side the V belt.
