1-3 of 3 Answers. It is best to use the Hoover cleaning solution in the Hoover – FloorMate SpinScrub Hard Floor Cleaner. If you decide to use another brand, just be sure not to use a solvent based cleaning concentrates in your cleaner. Also, you cannot use any type of wax in the cleaner.
The most common cause of loss of suction is that the filters have become blocked. They may require cleaning or replacing. Another cause could be that the vacuum cleaner hose is blocked.
Instead of using a vacuum bag, a wet and dry vacuum cleaner uses two bucket system for separating dry and wet waste. The collection chamber, and motor unit, and are the main parts of a wet and dry vacuum cleaner. The motor of the vacuum cleaner is situated on top of the collection chamber.
However, the basic rule of thumb is that carpeted floors and rugs should be vacuumed at least twice weekly and hard surface floors like tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl should be vacuumed at least once per week.
For use on bare floors or sealed wood floors. Not for use on carpets.
Can I use non-Hoover solutions in my Hoover carpet cleaner? We recommend that you use Hoover solutions to ensure best user experience and no machines damage.
You can use any brand in this machine. I have used bissle, hoover, even a Walmart pet one. They all work great.
One of the easiest ways to increase vacuum cleaner suction is to empty the dust bag or container. Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Regularly check your dust compartment and empty or change it when it`s already 70-80% full.
The two main indicators to determine vacuum power performance are water lift and airflow. The water lift is measured in mmH2O, mbar or kPa. It represents the suction force and is the reference parameter for vacuuming liquids and heavy materials. The airflow is measured in m3/h or in l/s.
WHY WON`T THE MACHINE PICK UP? The float in the dirty water tank may have been activated. Empty the dirty water tank and wait for the float to settle before re-starting the machine.
Check your hose for any cracks or holes that can cause loss of suction. You may also have a clog in the lower hose. Pull down and at an angle to disconnect. A clog in the main hose could also be the problem.

Hooverfloor mate isn’t sucking up water like it use to. what could be wrong
ANSWER : Most of the time the squeegee is worn out which does not allow it to **** up the water like it use to. Turn over the machine and inspect the squeegee. If it looks worn or bent then it may be time to replace it. You may also consider replacing the filter. These are the two most common parts that wear out.

I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. So I have done 1 room and all the dirt remains in the carpet
ANSWER : Check that the suction cone is not blocked. Check that the filter or hose to the bladder isn’t blocked as well.

I am trying to use the hand tool but the suction isn’t working. It spits out the soap and water but it isn’t sucking up the water. The machine is brand new so I don’t know if I am doing something wrong? I followed the instructions thoroughly.

I have a bissell quickwash 1950-e. I bought it Jan. 2006, and have only used it 8-10 times, I live in a very hard water area, so I though if I put some vinegar in with the cleaning solution it would get rid of any hard water deposits, unfortunatly the solution went lumpy in the tank and stoped spraying out water, I have opened it, hose clean, sprayer not blocked, x at bottom of water container when depresed water trickles out, component that opens the x when water container placed, also ran wate
ANSWER : Hard to say what is causing your problem, replacing the cap and insert on the water tank may help, part #2041111, even tho it may trickle out water when depressed, they can still be bad. The other thing would be the rod not relesing the water like it should. The big draw back to this model is Bissell has obsoleted all of its parts and most are no longer available. Might be wiser to buy new.

I have a hoover 3000 i have not used in awhile, and since I removed a large rug, I would like to use it again on my slate floor. HOWEVER, I cannot get it to pick up ANY water in the water recovery unit……it is dry, dry, dry. I have put in a new filter, cleaned the nozzle unit, the scrubber , and reconnected both the recovery unit and the water unit several times, but to no avail. I would like to get a graut attachment a well as replacement part, but since I can’t get the basic unit to work, I
ANSWER : Have you made sure the plastic filter cover with the round hole in it that covers the filter is in place ( part # 59177096 ). This piece seems to get lost, and without it there is no pick-up. The other common problem is that the wheel assembly has been damaged. Look at the bottom of the Floormate. You will see a black plastic wheel assembly. There are two pegs at the rear attaching it to the base. If this piece has a crack in it where it attaches to the base, there will be no pick-up.

My Bissell Pro Heat Select 2X does not pull up the dirt from the carpet into the water. The water just slowly disappears. The first time I used it the water got really dirty. The very next time I used it it worked differently and the water just disappeared until it was all gone. I’ve only used it a couple times and I don’t see where it is working. Has anyone else had this problem?
ANSWER : Inside the plastic suction lid is a little red plastic filter that has to be cleaned out every time you use it because it sounds like your vaccum is not picking up all the hair and debri before you clean the carpet causing the water to be injected into the carpet and disappearing and not filling the tank with dirty water. I have a Sunbeam Model Number 4065-000 and there is white particles comming out of the holes in the bottom. I think it is because we used tap water and there is a lot of deposits in the water. I read on the box that it was ok to use tap water and not distilled water. Is ther any way to clean the inside out to get the deposits cleaned out without affecting the possibility of doing something to the cloths that I will iron after cleaning the iron?
ANSWER : If the deposits are recent and still fairly soft, running a tank of vinegar through the machine should remove the deposits (obviously not using on any clothes, hold it over a sink). if the deposits are more stubborn, you can use a cleaning agent like CLR. rinse the tank out thoroughly after and run through a tank of clean water. good luck!

I just bought a Bissell Proheat Plaitnum 2 powersteamer at a yard sale that looks like it has hardly been used. So far I’m only able to get the water onto the carpet by using the hand tools. When I put it on floor mode it will suck up the water but not dispense it.
