How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Press the Reset/Scale Zero button. The scale will indicate that it`s ready to take its next measurement by telling you how much weight to put on it.
Drifting occurs when a scale`s display continuously fluctuates and is generally caused by water exposure. Water in the scale`s indicator, junction box, load cells, cables, or internal components is known to cause erratic readings.
The button to set the digital scale to zero is normally the power button, but it can have various names such as “zero”, “tare” or “reset”. Most digital scales are factory set to auto shut off after a period of inactivity.

#1 Every time a digital scale is moved it needs to be calibrated. Initializing the scale resets the internal parts allowing the scale to find the correct “zero” weight and ensure accurate readings. If the scale is moved and you do NOT calibrate it, you are likely to see fluctuations in your weight.

When digital scales give inconsistent readings, it is often because the sensors are dirty. To clean the sensors, unplug the scale or remove the battery. Then, use a soft-bristled brush to remove any debris from the sensors. Once the sensors are clean, reconnect them to the power source and turn on the scale.
Conversely, mis-calibrated, or inaccurate scales can cause inconsistencies that can lead to improper treatment e.g., where medications are dosed by weight. An inaccurate weight can lead to a patient getting too little — or too much — medication, resulting in a non-therapeutic or potentially harmful dose.
Scale Is On An Uneven Surface

Always weigh your items on an even surface. If it`s uneven in any way, the legs of the scale will shift towards sloped parts, which means more pressure will be put on certain parts of the scale as well. This results in bad and inaccurate readings all the time.

Your surface is shaky or uneven.

Even if your scale is calibrated, it could show inconsistent readings if it`s resting on an uneven, tilted or rounded surface. Use a mouse pad or static-reducing pad on a flat, hard surface underneath your scale to steady the scale and ensure correct results every time.

Typically, you weigh more after eating. You`ll usually weigh less after strenuous physical activity because of the water you`ve lost through sweating. This is why one of the best times to weigh yourself is in the morning before you`ve eaten or exercised.
A scale simply measures your total body weight in kilograms (or pounds). It does not measure how many of those kilograms are muscle, bones, blood, etc. and how many are fat. Exercise physiologists call this ratio your body composition, typically referred to as percent body fat.
Perform Cornerload Check: Place the weight in the center of the scale and re-zero the scale. Place the weight in the four locations (Front/Back, Left/Right) as indicated on the Calibration Sheet. Record the weight of each reading. For 12kg and 30kg weighing devices use verification weight of 5kg.
A: Dear Valued Customer, Thank you for your question first. You can use the scale without the FITINDEX app but you can only get the weight on the LED display.
There are three primary ways to indicate scale on a map: a representative fraction (e.g., 1:24,000), a verbal scale (e.g., “One inch to the mile”), or a graphic scale bar.
A thousand grams make one kilogram (1 kg): 1,000 g = 1 kg. Look carefully at the kitchen scale. The numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4 on this scale refer to the whole kilograms.
To switch between pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kgs), press the platform with one of your feet to activate the scale. Take your foot off before the scale reads your weight. The display will show “0.0”. Now press the lb/kg switch in the back of the scale to switch units.
How are scales calibrated? Scales are first tested to see how accurate they are. In a calibration test, measurements are taken from a scale using standardised test weights. These test weights are verified as per national and international weighing standards and are used to identify any deviation in the scale tested.
If the scale registers anything other than 10 pounds, or doesn`t return to zero, this may mean it`s having mechanical problems or load cell problems. In this case, your scale needs to be calibrated or replaced. Many digital scales have a calibration mechanism that may need to be reset, so check for that as well.
With proper care and maintenance, a high-quality digital scale can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years, while lower quality digital scales may only last 1 to 3 years.
Low Battery Power Affects Accuracy

Low batteries and poor battery connections are the leading cause of scale malfunction and inaccurate readings when recording measurements on digital scales. For accurate measurements, it is essential that the scale`s components receive the required amount of power.

Check and make sure the floor where the scale is being used is level. If scale is still reading incorrectly, it may be out of calibration. To double-check take a known weight and place it on the scale to see what it is reading. If the scale is not within tolerance, the scale may need to be calibrated.
Psychologist Stanley Stevens developed the four common scales of measurement: nominal, ordinal, interval and ratio.

I’m looking for a used or reasonable priced motor for my Electrolux LE, series 2100 vacuum. LEE is shown as model but no searches respond to this as a model number. Help.

Thanks,
Max

ANSWER : Unfortunately, the Electrolux company as such no longer exists. Eureka bought the name “Electrolux” and started making Eurekas with Electrolux stickers on the outside. This makes for some confusion when looking for parts.
.
.The company that used to make Electrolux is called Aerus, and they may still be manufacturing parts for those machines, but true Electrolux parts are getting scarce. I’d check the Aerus website and see if they have a way to get those parts, or at least a cross-reference.

.I own a self-propelled Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuum cleaner (Model U6425-920). I do now have an owner’s manual and was wondering how to clean the HEPA filter on this model (*this model uses a vacuum cleaner bag also).
.Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. The best way to clean the HEPA filter is to take it outside and use a blower over the trash can and blow off the dust and dirt, or use things like an old paint brush and brush it off, or you can vacuum it off with another canister vacuum or shop vac if you have an extra one. For the best filtration is to replace it, there fore the air flow will catch most of the dust and dirt and then you would have to watch how fast it gets dirty and then do the maintenance.

.So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

I need to change the motor in a vax 6131 but i don’t know how to get into it to get the change it?
I also need to get into the motor assembly housing to change a part but can’t see how it comes apart!!
ANSWER : On the handle there is one small pozidrive screw, remove and orange panel comes away revealing powercable securing bar. Remove 2 screws and this reveals a 10mm headed bolt. Under label on top of handle there is another small pozzi screw, undo this and the handle cover can be removed revealing the other 10mm bolt which needs to be removed. The upper orange cowl can now be eased upwards and if you note where the 2 switches are located, they can be eased from the handle area by depressing the switch locating clips. This allows the upper cover to be put to one side with the power cable still threaded through. DO NOT REMOVE any of the connectors from the connections otherwise you might need a competent electrician to help you. At this point there are 3 similar 10mm bolts which, when removed, allow the bottom black plastic ‘ring’ to be removed from the orange plastic with the motor attached. You then should be able to replace the required..—————————————–.—————————–.To disassemble a  vax you first remove 2 screws holding the handle cover. One is just above where the power flex enters the handle, the other is at the mid-point of the top, hidden under the label. Both are small crosshead screws. Before doing attempting this, you need to be competent with working on mains electric wiring, as some of this has to be removed to do all this.

Once the handle covers are removed, the next bit is to gently lever off the speed control knob – it’s a tight friction fit, then undo the nut holding it to the handle cover panel. After this undo the mains power connections from the multi-block joiner they go into then remove the 2 screws securing the mains wire. Then undo 2 bolts at each end of the handle going downwards into the main body. At this point the handle can be removed as well as the top body plate. You have to fiddle the electrics and switches through the hole in the top body plate to remove it. Now 3 bolts and a small crosshead screw is all that holds the upper motor section to the lower. Remove these and you can separate the 2 halves which gives you acess to the water pump. This is held in by screws founf underneath the plastic ring at the base of the motor body (around where the small reound blue sponge filter goes). This ring is held in by plastic springy clips. Gently lever round it to get it come off.
