It`s recommended that you replace the HEPA Filter Cartridge Assembly on a yearly basis, as this filter can NOT be washed, and wash the secondary Pre-Motor filter once every 30 days, and replace it after 6 washing`s to maintain peak performance of your Dyson DC25.
While you might feel that this is the reason their products are expensive, you`re highly mistaken. This investment was mainly to accommodate a centre for their 1,200 employees, 22 laboratories, prototyping space, and areas for collaborative work.

Your DC25 is equipped with a sensor which shuts off the brushbar if something jams it. After you’ve checked the cleaner head for obstructions, and removed any threads or hair from around the brushbar, you should be able to reset the machine. For guidance in doing this, please follow the steps shown in the video below.
Please note, the brushbar will never rotate when the machine is standing upright, so make sure you’ve reclined the machine it into the vacuuming position before testing it.

.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.

.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.
