Clean the Canister: Empty the canister, then wipe the interior down with a microfiber cloth. The best-case scenario is washing the entire canister in warm soapy water. It will remove all remaining dirt, dust, grime, and hair most efficiently.

Why is the vacuum is blowing dusty air out of the back? Simple: the bag or canister is full and the vacuum has nowhere to store the dust it is collecting. Empty the canister or bag. If that doesn`t fix it, the vacuum filter needs to be cleaned or changed.

Our Bissell Cleanview II 3576M does a great job except that the filter cup below the dirt cup gets full very fast and the dirt cup barely has anything in it. To clean the whole house, I have to empty the dirt cup and clean the filter several times. It didn’t use to work this way. It seems like something is missing, a gasket or seal maybe? I don’t think dirt, hair and debris should be going straight to the lower cup and bypassing the upper. I looked at the user guide but can’t see why it’s happen

How do i clean the two little top parts above the bottom empty dirt cup
ANSWER : Hi there,

inside the dirt chamber you should be able to twist and remove both of the silver what look like arrowheads and you should be able to get up inside the top with a water hose to clean out the upper area there. Allow for the unit to dry before you put it back together.

Good luck.

We are unable to find a replacement part that the filter attaches to in the dirt cup on our Eureka Boss Pro Model 411. This part seals the top of the dirt cup and holds the filter in place. What is the part name or model number for the replacement?
ANSWER : I just called Eureka (1-800-282-2886) and asked for the dust cover lid. It was part number 61538-1. They said they could ship it to me or I could call one of the authorized service centers nearby to see if they had one. I wasn’t in a hurry and the total to ship it to me was just under $10.

Hi,
There is a high pitched whirring sound coming from lower part of the vacuum. When I tilt it toward me (while standing in the normal vacuuming stance) the sound sometimes lessens for a minute or so. I have tried the following things:
-cleaned the two sponge filters
-emptied the dirt receptacle
-removed the roller and cleaned it
-cleaned the brushes
-the belt is not ragged and does not seem floppy
-checked all of the airways for clogs (including removing the wheel base)
Can you help?
ANSWER : Your looking for some dirt stuck in some thing you didn’t check yet. with the roller out and the belt out of the way run it to see if it still makes the noise. if it does then you looking at the impeller or the motor bearing themselfs those bearings can be full of dirt or worn out If its running smooth with the belt off then the rooler bearings are next they may only squeel with the belt load on them but install it with the belt off and see if it turns smoothly, ( it should twirl with your finger ) if it turns hard keep cleaning and or replace the bearings, Then run it again to make sure it’s not making the noise hten take it apart again and put the belt on and see if its fixed, It’s possible to put the belt on backwards the brush should be turning as to pull the machine forward on the floor.

Thanks Ray
