Reinstalling a hampton bay ceiling fan model-HL52QV P 3LC14 and I do not recall how to wire it to the house electric. A black wire and a blue wire are tied together and a white wire are present fromthe fan. Whichone is connected tothe hot wire in my fan electric box inthe ceiling.
ANSWER : The black and blue wire should conncect to the black wire in the electric box and the white wire should connect to the white wire in the box. This assumes the wiring was correctly installed.

Am attempting to get ‘inside’ the vacuum to troubleshoot why it suddenly stopped running. Suspect it may electrical, and have already checked the obvious (visible cord and plug.) However, there doesn’t seem to be an obvious way to get inside the canister without destroying something. Thanks!

Usually when this happens all of a sudden, chance are good that you need to replace your cord reel. My son and I are trying to build a small motor for a school project. we have a 6volt battery 2 wires that we are hooking up to a spool of wire. We have two aposing magnets on each side of the spool of wire. the spool of wire is on a shaft and should turn when we touch it with the 2 wires from the battery. It just does not work. What are we missing here?

Oreck XL How to remove rear wheel. Removed all viewable hair, thread, etc., but one wheel is still hard to turn. I think there’s hair stuck inside the wheel core. Can I remove the wheel & take it off the metal post?
ANSWER : You can take a medium size flathead screwdriver and slide it in beside the wheel and under the pin. Then pry carefully on one side and then the other it will start to come out but work both sides alternately so you won’t put too much pressure on the plastic. Once it is out you can clean it and put it back in. Line up the pin and use a blunt end tool like a punch to tap it back in. You can use the same screwdriver but don’t hit it too hard. You can tell when it is in all the way when it bottoms out. Make sure you look closely at it before you take it out so you will know what it is suppose to look like.

I have my vacume electrical cord tangled inside and disconnected (I can see the open end of the connection from the power cord collector wheel!
