Carpet stained recently cleaned my cream coloured carpet in my entrance hall with a carpet cleaning product, wet foamy spray type, ran out of this and found a part bottle of a different brand in my cupboard, used this to finish off however must be some sort of reaction and carpet gone a greenish colour i think (colour blind sorry ) any idea’s of any product that might restore my carpet, will try anything, nothing to loose. thank you Peter McGurk Goole East Yorks
ANSWER : Ok in the future try to have carpet cleaned only by a pro. For spot cleaning use white paper towels or dish towels and warm water. (ONLY WHITE) 99% of fabric is white and then dyed to color and if you use a color cloth you might pull the dye from the cloth into the carpet. Now what you can try is your basic dishwashing detergent like electrosal with warm water and a dishtowel. little at a time try to blot not rub. try AFTA if that doesnt work. wet the rag first with warm water. pour the afta on the wet rag not on the carpet.

We have a Bissell Proheat Cleanshot 2X Model 9500 Steam carpet cleaner. The first time we used it things were great. The second time we used it it left tracks in the carpet. We have no idea what caused this. We tried using the machine on an entirely different carpet and it did the same thing. After vacuuming the carpet about 10 or 12 times, the tracks are still embedded in the carpet – HELP!!!! We’re read and reread the manual and contacted customer service and received no help.
ANSWER : First things first. It’s only the second time you have used the machine, so it must be fairly new. If you have a receipt and the unit is less than a year old you should take it to an authorized Bissell repair center and have the machine inspected under warranty.

To prevent the jets from clogging in the future make sure to flush all shampoo out of the machine with clean water when done using it. That is most likely your problem.

Need a cheaper alternative shampoo for kirby vacuum system. Has to be an encapsulating shampoo. Kirby shampoo is too dear and only does one room per bottle. Need to know where to get some in australia as the postage from america is 3 times the price of the shampoo. thanks

For the first time, I tried using my Kirby Sentria shampoo attachment. I’ve lost the manual but found instructions online for making the swap from regular vac to shampoo-er and got it all assembled. The foam laid down just fine, however, when I run the vac back over the foam to pick it up, there is not a stitch of water showing up in the tray. First I thought maybe it was bc I hadn’t put that much of the foam/water onto the carpet, but 12 hours later, the carpet is still wet in spots. Clearly

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. In a case like this I would contact the factory, by the sounds of things you did everything right but it is a dry foam shampoo and some moisture will get into the carpet. ANSWER : I KNOW THIS IS AN OLD POST BUT MANY PEOPLE MIGHT STILL FIND THESE ANSWERS USEFUL. I CAN ATTEST TO THE FACT THAT YOU NEED TO USE THE KIRBY SHAMPOO. I TRIED TO SAVE MONEY AND USE OTHER BRANDS BUT IT NEVER WORKED AND WOULD DISPENSE MOSTLY LIQUID INSTEAD OF FOAM. IF YOU USE THE KIRBY BRAND, YOUR SHAMPOO SHOULD FOAM AS IT IS DISPENSED. GO SLOWLY AS THE PREVIOUS RESPONSE SUGGESTS. ANOTHER THING… I WOULD SUGGEST RAISING THE HEIGHT A LITTLE SO THAT IT IS NOT TOO CLOSE TO THE FLOOR.
