Your dirty water tank may not be secured tightly. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly on all edges to secure it tightly. The accessory hose door also needs to be closed securely. Check the door and make sure it is locked in place.
Fill the Tank With Vinegar: Fill the water tank with distilled white vinegar or cleaning vinegar. Allow the vinegar to sit in the tank for at least 30 minutes (up to two hours is best) to help break apart the limescale and mineral deposits. Expel the Vinegar: Turn on the steamer and choose the highest heat setting.
If there is little or no water being sprayed from your machine, here are a few tips that will help. Check to see if your clean water tank is empty. The clean water tank also may not be seated properly. The brush window could also not be latched into place.
You are leaving too much foam in the carpet Dirt particles stick to it, and it is this that makes your water dirty when it is sucked up. If your carpet cleaning solution is too foamy, or you leave foam in the carpet, more dirt will be attracted to it.
Plugged vacuum hoses are sometimes the reason for a loss in suction. Hoses can get clogged with hair, dust bunnies, string, or anything else that can`t pass through the other end of the hose. Airways inside the machine should be looked at as well. Wherever there is an air passage, check it.
When finished shampooing, run a tank of clear water over the heavy cleaned areas (e.g. entrances and walkways). This will help remove excess shampoo and keep those areas cleaner for longer. It also helps to rinse out the shampoo from inside in the machine!
One of the easiest ways to increase vacuum cleaner suction is to empty the dust bag or container. Dust containers need to have enough space for airflow, otherwise, they could get clogged and have less suction power. Regularly check your dust compartment and empty or change it when it`s already 70-80% full.
Loose connections will cause your vacuum cleaner to lose suction. Make sure that the dust container, the hose, the tube and the brush are all attached properly. If the problem continues, your vacuum cleaner might have a technical problem. If you suspect this to be the case, contact an authorised service agent.
While extreme suction power may offer peace of mind to homeowners who want to feel confident that their vacuums are effective at sucking up dirt and germs, it can be very damaging to your carpet and should be avoided! For high pile and premium soft carpet, be sure to avoid vacuums with concentrated or sealed suction.

How do you clean the bissell steamer carpet cleaners suction front? cannot get some of the fuss from that front part. Thank you
ANSWER : Take off the 2 screws at the bottom, and it will lift off so you can clean it. Of course this depends on which model number you have.
My carpet cleaner (bissell proheat plus) is not steaming, dispensing cleaner. Seems like there’s a little thingy that should be spinning or turning….. When I work a small area of carpet, it just leaves behind dry blobs of carpet gunk like pet hair. I had to use a carpet sweeper to clean up. FYI – I filled the cleaning fluid container and after trying to clean the carpet, it did empty out but the carpet isn’t wet. Any tips? The manual doesn’t help.
I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. So I have done 1 room and all the dirt remains in the carpet
ANSWER : Check that the suction cone is not blocked. Check that the filter or hose to the bladder isn’t blocked as well.
No Suction I have a dc18 dyson and it had lost suction from the main hoover and the hose part. If you remove the dust collection part there is suction from the hole behind that part. I have cleaned all part to this hoover but the problem is still there. Any help would be apprieciated. Thanks

Carpet stained recently cleaned my cream coloured carpet in my entrance hall with a carpet cleaning product, wet foamy spray type, ran out of this and found a part bottle of a different brand in my cupboard, used this to finish off however must be some sort of reaction and carpet gone a greenish colour i think (colour blind sorry ) any idea’s of any product that might restore my carpet, will try anything, nothing to loose. thank you Peter McGurk Goole East Yorks
ANSWER : Ok in the future try to have carpet cleaned only by a pro. For spot cleaning use white paper towels or dish towels and warm water. (ONLY WHITE) 99% of fabric is white and then dyed to color and if you use a color cloth you might pull the dye from the cloth into the carpet. Now what you can try is your basic dishwashing detergent like electrosal with warm water and a dishtowel. little at a time try to blot not rub. try AFTA if that doesnt work. wet the rag first with warm water. pour the afta on the wet rag not on the carpet.
Parts Hi I have the Eurkea steam cleaner model 2450 and was wondering how do you take the front part off where you can see the water sucking up from carpet so this can be cleaned. Also I think the spring in the part that holds the water has come off another part is this able to be fixed or can I just purchase a new water holding tank and if so where?
Thanks
The removable filter at the front is cleaned regularly, and is not clogged. However, the machine appears to be suffering from being clogged by dust, as it has started to make a high pitched noise, and I fear it may burn out. I can see some dust inside the front panel but cannot see how to remove the front to clean it out. (NB. I have located two screws – one on either side – but cannot see how to proceed further.) Please help! Thank you.

I have a Bissell Proheat steamer carpet cleaner. There is a red L shaped part that says hips on it that I do not know where it goes. It also does not have any suction. Is the part the cause of the loss of suction and where does it go?
