ANSWER : First take off the cover on the left side oif the top cover, then turn it over, remove the screw holding the red lock and pull the cap and brush roll out, remove the cap, remove the cogged belt, then you can put the new pump belt thru that slot, put over the pulley on the pump and then stretch it to go over the motor shaft. Then put back together.
