The original belt on my upright Kenmore Progressive broke and I replaced it with the spare that was in the vacuum. The vacuum and spare belt are about 10 years old. ANSWER : The belt heats up due to the friction, as well as being in contact with the shaft of a hot motor. It is normal.

ANSWER : Hi its Darran at Dyson.
With the machine switched off, press the re-set switch on the side of the head, making sure you push the button in as far as you can. When you switch the machine back on and lower it into the vacuuming position, the brush bar should start turning.

OUR DYSON 07 SWEEPER HAS VERY LITTLE Vacuum, have cleaned all filters and hoses, on line troubleshooting has said to check soleplate being on correctly, we have done this, still does not have good vacuum, belts are covered by a housing, the video that shows the changing of the belt is not the same, I need to know how to remove the cover to check both belts and any help in gaining the vacuum

I’m sorry to hear you’re having difficulties with your DC25. This machine has a sensor which shuts off the brushbar if something jams it. Once you’ve checked the cleaner head for obstructions, and removed any threads or hair from around the brushbar, you should be able to reset it.
