That same motion that forces the dirt up into your vacuum cleaner can fray or damage the exterior of the cord. Over time, even the best cords will start to show damage, making them unsafe for use.
Exposed cords, frayed wires, or cracked plugs can cause an extension cord`s electrical flow to become uneven. This can cause a short circuit, which can trip the circuit breaker and potentially cause shock. Don`t risk using a damaged extension cord.

.Note: In step 3, the cover assembly most often is stubborn and does not always come off as easily as shown in the picture. It WILL try your patience!!! I use two butter knives, one on each side. Insert the knives into the back of the switch cover and work them down toward the middle where the retaining clips are located prying gently as you go.

Assuming if you leave it for an hour and come back to it that it works again you have an airflow issue. This machine will cut out if the motor gets too hot. The likely causes are 1. Filters – take them out and give a good clean once dry you can try them again. 2. Blockage – Remove your u-bend and the blockage removal access check for an obstruction.3. Radix assembly is blocked. I will post a link to a YouTube video showing how to address this as it is a bit more difficult.
If your machine wont turn back on after a rest then your options are 1. Cord problem (most likely)2. Switch (unlikely)3. Motor
