Vacuum smells I have a 6 year old rainbow vacuum model E and it smells terrible everytime I use it. Probably because often times i don’t remove the water basin after vacuuming and just let it sit. Try generously sprinkling baking soda on a rug you wish to clean, and afterwards, vacuum up the spot.

My numatic Hoover is brilliant but it smells what part needs changing? It’s not a burning smell, but a musky almost cabbage smell?

How can I get rid of the smell of dog from my easyvac?
ANSWER : Wash the interior and exterior, all filters and the dirt chamber with both soap, water AND bleach. This may help, but it will not be 100%.
.as for the soap, I just use regular dish soap, any scent. you can also spray this down, just beware of the motor intake for getting water into it. you may want to tape it off.
