How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced Vacuum Technicians :

Use the upholstery attachment on mattresses and fabric surfaces. Work in a horizontal or vertical motion from top to bottom. Use the crevice tool in the tight corners and seams. Use the dust brush on leather furniture to reduce any risk of scratching.
Corner Cleaner

The narrow, angled crevice tool should be the go-to vacuum accessory for cleaning areas that the vacuum is too bulky to reach. Slide it along baseboards, between vents, and in other tight corners to pick up dust and debris. You can also use this attachment to clean under couch cushions.

Upholstery Tool: The upholstery tool has a small, flat head and powerful suction, this attachment works well on fabric surfaces such as mattresses, couches, chairs and other fabric based pieces.
Common connections or port types for vacuum flanges and fittings include compression fitting, hose barb or rib, quick disconnect, threaded, flare or fitting tube, flange, and weld or braze stub.

This is a small, flat and rectangular brush around 4 to 5 inches in length, with a removable row of short bristles. As the name suggests, it`s perfect for dislodging crumbs, dirt and debris from furniture so that the vacuum itself can then suck it up.

First, you need to vacuum up all loose dirt from the sofa surface. Next, spray water and cleaning agent evenly on the stained surface. For heavy dirt, spray and leave to work for at least 5 minutes. Then place the nozzle on the surface of upholstery and slowly vacuum up the moisture from the cleaning mixture.

Vacuum control valves, unlike vacuum isolation valves whose function is limited to full opening and closing, allow control of volume flows. This is usually done by narrowing or widening the valve passage. The control range varies depending on the design principle of the control valve.
Vacuum switches can have an electro-mechanical or solid-state switch construction.
Add 25 beads, about a handful, to your vacuum or canister. When the vacuum is on, the scent will be dispersed into the air. Discard when bag or canister is full. Recommended for all bag and bagless/canister vacuums, as well as hand-held vacuums.
` Vacuuming your sofa every week is a must, even if you can`t see the dust. It`s easy to remember to clean your carpets and floors, but don`t neglect furniture. Pet hair, dust, germs and so on can build on the surfaces, so using a vacuum with different attachments can be useful.
We recommend dusting before vacuuming, this is because dust particles usually get moved around the room when you dust, meaning all your hard work will go to waste. A top tip is to wait at least 2 hours after dusting to get the vacuum out.
Use the attachments on your vacuum to clean couches, chairs, or other upholstered furniture. Remove the cushions to make sure you`re able to get into any tight spaces where dust could be hiding.
Create a cleaning solution by combining equal parts water and white vinegar in a small bucket. Dip a microfiber cloth into the solution so that it is damp but not wet, then wipe the couch, rinsing the cloth regularly. Dry the couch with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.

Roomba keeps saying clean brushes yet are clean!
ANSWER : Make sure you take off the little cap at the end (the one that spins — just grab it and pull it straight off) and clean under it too. The rest of the brush may look perfectly clean but what happens is that hair gets stuck under spinning cap and, like a slowly growing washer, it pushes the whole brush toward the gear box. When it gets pushed over enough, the large yellow ring starts to rub against the side of the brush deck making it harder for the motor to turn the brush and you get that “remove and clean brushes” message.

don’t know how to hook up attachment to clean upholstery.
.
.Hello,
.I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure.
.The manufacturer brand name is Hoover – most on board upholstery machines have an on board hose attachment and any type of upholstery tool would hook on to the end of the suction hose and would be controlled by the trigger assm on the machine itself and some upholstery machines have a revolving brush that would hook up to the end of the attachment hose and you can spray the part you want to clean and then use the straight suction upholstery tool to agitate the fabric and then vacuum us the excess water. So feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages or contact the Hoover manufacturer listed below;

Since appliance sales are recorded after-sale by manufacturer, you need to contact the manufacturer to validate the warranty and get the replacement.

Here is the website, click on your location and see Contact Us or After Sale Service on website.
