The last time I sewed with my Necchi the tension was fine. Today when I threaded my needle, the thread felt tight in the upper tension dial. I tried re-threading the machine several times, but it didn’t help. Now the parts of the tension dial are all loose and wobbbly and I have no upper tension. Doesn’t matter what the dial is set on. The tension dial appears to be broken, but I don’t know how that could have happend since I store it in a case.
Just got my dc33… one issue… the dial switch to control btn bare floor / carpet mode doesn’t seem holding in it’s position when I set to the bare floor mode… it keeps coming back to carpet mode with brush-bar activated… the dial doesn’t really click to the floor mode. Any advice on this?

My dyson slim vacuum doesn’t switch from hose to floor mode. I thought the foot lever was broken. I realigned it but it doesn’t switch now from floor mode to hose mode. I take out the hose and I can see the white part. I thought it should move as you go from upright to recline position of the handle.
The changeover valve is not activating – call the Dyson helpline – they’ll set you up for a repair with a repair dealer in your area.
No suction below when carpet mode or bare floor mode selected Lots of suction with wand
It is probably clogged near where the floor part picks up
that is why the wand still works
Dyson 23 Animal keeps putting itself in floor mode, when I press the button to change to carpet it turns itself back to floor mode
Make it impossible for it to turn back into flor mode
Belt tensioner overheated and doesn’t keep belt tight enough
Looking at the owner manual, there is no tensioner assembly.
If the motor is fixed in place and not loose, then you either have the wrong belt, or the brush roller is not properly installed, or the brush roller is worn out where the belt goes around the brush roller.
Suction only works using the hand held mode, there is no suction when try to use on carpet mode,
There must be a clog in either the hose, dirt inland by the brush roll, or bad filters. If you have suction at the end of the hose, then look lower all the way to the brush roll.
Spotbot will not light up in handsfree mode, but works fine in manual (hose) mode
