Plug the PowerSteamer into a proper outlet and turn ON the Power switch. While pressing the trigger, slowly make several passes over the area to be cleaned. Caution: Do not overwet. Turn the machine Power switch OFF and let BISSELL Advanced Deep Cleaning Formula dissolve the tough soil for 1-2 minutes.
Squeeze the cleaning trigger and hold it while pushing the PowerSteamer forward and pulling it back. Release the trigger and push the machine forward and back again over the same area. Repeat this process in overlapping sections over the carpet area to be cleaned.
Steam cleaners heat steam to a minimum temperature of 212 °F (100°C) and emit powerful jets of hot vaporized water that can loosen dirt, kill germs as well as break up grease, stains and even mould.
The Fabric Steamer tool is great for refreshing and removing wrinkles on clothing or drapes. You`ll need to attach the Fabric Steamer Cloth before using. You can also attach the Window Squeegee tool to the Fabric Steamer tool (without the cloth) for glass and window cleaning.
Steam cleaners can be safely used on many household surfaces, including sealed tile, hardwood floors, grout, sinks, tubs, countertops, carpets, mattresses, upholstery, showers, ovens, stove tops, grills, glass, and more.
A possible cause might be that the tank is not properly seated. To assure the tank is seated properly, pick it up and re-seat is so it sits snugly on the unit. If this doesn`t fix the problem, make sure the tank is assembled properly. To make sure they are both latched properly, pick the tank up by its handle.
Fill clean water tank with hot water to top water fill line. Remove clear cap and foil from bottle of formula and insert onto gasket of clean water tank. Squeeze bottle until the easy fill line on the tank is reached.

ProHeat® Using the marks on the inside of the formula cap, add 7 oz of BISSELL 2X formula to tank. Add water to the tank until you reach the original formula fill line.
Step 3: Setup Your Carpet Cleaner
After you get out your carpet cleaner, fill the clean tank to the line with hot (not boiling) tap water. Hot water does a better job cleaning than cold but, if you boil it, you run the risk of melting parts of your carpet cleaner.
Add 2 oz of BISSELL 2X Formula to the tank Measure 4 oz (2 capfuls) and pour into tank. Fill the clean water/solution tank with hot (not boiling) tap water to the WATER fill line Add formula to the indicated fill line (approximately 0.5 oz) on the solution tank.
Hot Water Extraction
Otherwise known as steam cleaning, this is easily the most common professional carpet cleaning technique. Steam cleaning uses hot water at high pressure to penetrate into carpet fibers, breaking down the dirt and bacteria stored deep within. The hot water is then extracted via vacuum.
While the steam will kick on after 30 seconds, it takes a full 60 seconds for it to become powerful. Because the water tank is so small—just 6.6 ounces—we found ourselves being economical with the power button.

The benefit of choosing a clothes steamer is its ease of use, flexibility and ability to remove wrinkles from almost any type of fabric, from delicate cashmere to sturdy cottons and wool.
We recommend draining the water from your steam appliance every 30 days, in other words – do not let water sit in your steam appliance for more than 30 days.
Only Use Water in the Reservoir
With the exception of a few models that have dual functions, steam mops are typically designed to be used with water and nothing else. The steam alone does a great job of cleaning the floor. Always read the manual on your mop model thoroughly for complete use guidelines.
Steam cleaning uses actual steam and requires heating water to a high enough temperature to convert it from liquid to gas.
Just empty the water out of the tank after each use. Doing so will prevent leaking and extend the life of your filter.
Check to see if your clean water tank is empty. The clean water tank also may not be seated properly. The brush window could also not be latched into place. Turn off your machine and check to see if the brush window is secure.
You don`t have to use the Bissell solution, but it is optimized for use in their machines. This means it won`t streak, leave residue, need to be rinsed, or leave buildup in your machine.
Turn robot on to clean either using the BISSELL Connect App, or by pressing the Start/Pause button on the top of the Robot.
First insert the charging adapter plug into the charging port on the back of the machine. Now plug the adapter into a grounded outlet. The battery status indicator lights will illuminate when charging.

My power brushes on my bissel carpet cleaner stopped working. They do not rotate. This is the 2nd power cleaner I have bought and it has the same problem as the first one. What is the problem with the power brushes. After 3 uses they stop working. Bissel Proheat 2X Model #8920
ANSWER : The brushes will only work if the handle is released and the ProHeat vacuum is running . There is a micro switch inside the lower handle that switches on the DC carpet brush motor. The DC power for the motor comes from a Bridge Rectifier on the PC Board. [email protected]

I purchased my Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview a few years or so ago, and cannot find where I filed the manuals. If I find the actual seriel number on the Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview, Is there a way that I can purchase another manual? I really do not have any problem with my Bissel, but being I am 75 years of age and do not use it myself anymore, I want to give it to a daughter of mine (but I would like to have the manuals that go with it to give to her also).

I have an older model Bissell rug shampoo machine, model # 1631. I have several bottles of Bissell 5 One carpet formula to use in this machine, however I have lost the measuring bottle that tells me the amount of soap solution to use per 64 oz. bottle of water. Bissell powersteamer model 1693 not sucking up water
ANSWER : I have the bissel power steamer / powerbrush # on front at bottom 310-3150 bought in october used it 2 times 3rd time it started acting up as follows
