Use the Perfect Sweep Turbo in handheld mode by using the handle connector piece on the foot of the Sweeper as a handle. To empty, first make sure that the unit is turned OFF and then lift the dirt cup out. Empty the dirt cup over a waste container. Replace the dirt cup by pressing it back into the foot of the sweeper.
Once unplugged, simply move the lock button on the front of the Easy Empty dirt tank to the left. Then, remove the tank. To empty, press the bottom lid release button on the back of the dirt tank.
First, turn off your machine and easily remove the tank to carry it to a convenient sink. Remove the tank top. If you still have clean water & solution in the bladder, you can use your hand to cover the opening to ensure this does not spill out with the dirty water. Pour out the dirty water.

ANSWER : This is from the prongs not making a good connection causing an arch inside the plugg causing what looks like rust on the plugg. I would try snugging up the connection by squeezing the female section to get a better connection on the prongs when it is plugged in together.
My power brushes on my bissel carpet cleaner stopped working. They do not rotate. This is the 2nd power cleaner I have bought and it has the same problem as the first one. What is the problem with the power brushes. After 3 uses they stop working. Bissel Proheat 2X Model #8920
ANSWER : The brushes will only work if the handle is released and the ProHeat vacuum is running . There is a micro switch inside the lower handle that switches on the DC carpet brush motor. The DC power for the motor comes from a Bridge Rectifier on the PC Board.

Is there anything else I can try? Model Callisto
ANSWER : Try having someone turn the machine on and off while you pull the cord in and out with the cord more angled towards the on/off switch. Sometimes these models have a break in the cord rewind and will not put the power through to the motor.
Keep in mind this is repairable, and if the unit is less than 5 years old it should still be under warranty.
Good luck .
No power i try to turn it on no power i treid different power source no luck check everything no power
ANSWER : It could be the switch button that you push to turn it on (2031199), or the switch (2031243) could be the problem. If not those 2, then the cord could be bad or even the motor (2031214). I would check that switch button first.

I have a Dyson Animal upright (purple). I took it apart to clean the cyclone chambers. When re-assembling the bottom closed before the opening rod was inserted. I can’t get the opening rod installed with the bottom opening closed. How do I open it? Thanks.
ANSWER : I looked in our DC07. I would try removing the top again and getting a long dowel or the opening rod, insert it down into the unit and PUSH. The opening rod opens the latch by pushing it, not pulling it. Here are some pictures of the latch. Top pic is in the unlock position. Bottom is the normal position.
I hope this helps.
