How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Model and serial numbers are printed on a label, which is usually located on the back or on the base of the unit. The serial number follows the model number.
On machines it`s on a white label like this. It`s usually on the lower back or bottom of the machine (for Lift-Off® models, remove the Lift-Off pod to find label) or behind the cleaning tanks.
Check the fluid levels in the heavy-duty bladder. The 2-in-1 water tank may have picked up the maximum amount of dirty water and the red float door has closed. If this is the case, you will need to empty the 2-in-1 water tank and refill the heavy duty bladder with clean hot tap water and replace.
Your dirty water tank may not be secured tightly. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly on all edges to secure it tightly. The accessory hose door also needs to be closed securely. Check the door and make sure it is locked in place.

I have a Bissell proheat and I am not able to find my manuel is there one available?
Yes-online from the Bissell website
I am looking for a wiring diagram to install a touch/dimmer switch by “Comfort” mdl # RH-934B – Darjung Ind Ltd.
It has a standard lampcord (two wires) coming from it as well as one white, one black and one yellow wire.
The original touch/dimmer switch (no identification on it) had one white, one black, one red and one yellow – no lampcord.
Thank you very much for your help!
The black and the white will go to the lamp ,eg,output. The yellow is the sensor wire which should be firmly attached to the metal base of the lamp
Filters I have tried to find the filter that goes up inside the vacumm not the one on the front but when you take the disposal thing out the one that is up inside that, where do I find one? mine does not have one and everything clogs up in there.
There isn’t a filter listed in the parts list for where you feel one should be. Your owner manual would tell you if there was.
I have a Husqvarna Viking Designer sewing machine. The fuse blew in the machine and I am having trouble finding a replacement fuse. It is a T3.5/250v glass fuse. Please let me know where to find one. I have searched the internet high and low and can’t find one. Radio Shack has a 3.0amp 250v slow blow fuse whick seems to be the right dimensions. Willl that work. Otherwise, I am not sure what to do and can’t afford to take the machine to a repair show. Thank you.
That fuse will work no problem. There is no harm in trying it.
The machine probably requires about 2 amps or less under normal operation.
Being a 3.0 amp slow blow fuse, it will withstand short bursts of extra current when your machine gets temporarily overloaded.
Just make sure the machine is properly lubricated and runs freely. The fuse will definitely blow if your machine should get jammed or something like that.
I think I know where I can score some. Cost of postage only. 🙂
Email me if you like.

I need to change out the short hose on the underside of my older Dyson DC 07 Animal (Light Purple). It is the one less than a foot long on the underside which is attached on one end to the main body of the vacuum(I was able to remove this one) and the top of the upper soleplate. The latter one seems to be glued or otherwise permanently attached.Any assistance you could give me on this would be greatly appreciated….Thanks
.It’s not glued, but it can be a little difficult to remove. You need to twist and pull at the same time and it should pull off. If it’s being stubborn, squirt a little bit of WD40 / penetrating fluid where the hose meets the tube on the sole plate, leave it for a couple of minutes and try again. This will also help you to attach the new one more easily. Wipe up any excess fluid after fitting the new hose.
.There isn’t really much more I can tell you. There are numerous videos on YouTube covering Dyson maintenance. The following is actually for a clutch change but it’s one of the easiest to follow and covers removal of the short hose:
.If you fast-forward the video to 1 minute 30 seconds, you will jump straight to the part showing the removal of the hose.

.If this isn’t the correct manual, please reply to this message and I will try to obtain the correct manual, although this is only Emeril breadbaker I can find at present.
I purchased my Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview a few years or so ago, and cannot find where I filed the manuals. If I find the actual seriel number on the Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview, Is there a way that I can purchase another manual? I really do not have any problem with my Bissel, but being I am 75 years of age and do not use it myself anymore, I want to give it to a daughter of mine (but I would like to have the manuals that go with it to give to her also).
No need my friend. Go here. All documentation is here…and….it’s free! Hope this helps : )
