How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

The DC14 was released in 2004. It is a revision of the DC07 upright vacuum cleaner with lower centre of gravity and `telescope reach`. It uses Dyson`s Root 8 Cyclone technology, which maintains constant suction.

A Dyson vacuum cleaner has a lifespan of around 10 years. This is considerably longer than most other vacuums. So, if you`re looking for a high-quality vacuum cleaner that will last you for a long time, a Dyson could be a good choice. However, remember that Dyson vacuums are expensive.
The most common cause of no power is the machine overheating and cutting out. In this case once the vacuum cleaner loses power leave it for at least half an hour and then try turning it back on again. If it comes back on again after an hour then clean your filters and check for blockages.
The Dyson DC14 is a moderately-priced upright vacuum with premium suction. It boasts a telescope wand extender for detailed cleaning, a bagless and hygienic one-touch disposal, and root cyclone technology that certifies it allergy friendly. However, it`s worth noting there`s some concern about the vacuum`s portability.
The main difference between the Dyson V8 Animal and V8 Absolute is that the V8 Animal is designed to powerfully suck up and eliminate pet hairs.
You`ll find it on your machine, on a label that looks like this. Example: 123-CA-A12345 or AB1-CA-A123456. First two fields are required. Example: 123-CA-A12345 or AB1-CA-A123456.
Check the LED light to determine the battery level. A solid blue light indicates that the machine is in normal operating mode. A flashing blue light indicates that there is no power, and the battery needs to be charged for a minimum of 3.5 hours.
Hot environments speed up battery aging. So it`s best to avoid cleaning the car in hot weather or leaving your vacuum in rooms that experience direct sunlight for prolonged periods. The same goes for cold porches and garages in winter.
If you find that your machine is turning off intermittently, the filter in your vacuum is most likely full and covering the ventilation system. Remove the filter, then empty and wash it. Allow the filter to dry for at least 24 hours, or until it is completely dry.
One of the first things to do when your Dyson vacuum cleaner keeps starting and stopping is to empty the bin. It may be full, or the machine may simply perceive it as too full to continue working. Dyson vacuum cleaners require constant airflow through them to work, and a full bin can stop this from happening.
The Absolute BEST Cordless Vacuum

The Dyson V15 Detect is a cordless vacuum with a 60 minute run, 230 air watts of suction power, and 3 suction levels.

Tipping the scales at 19.4 pounds, the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball upright vacuum is the largest Dyson we`ve ever tested, but its massive bulk does not translate to raw power. The Cinetic Big Ball picked up around 62.15% of the testing dirt on the normal carpet, about the same as the Multifloor 2.
The Dyson V12 was released in the US in 2022, while the V15 was released in 2021.
The Dyson DC14 Animal Vacuum ($550) features the Root Cyclone constant suction system, automatic carpet height adjustment, a wand attachment that releases and expands up to 17 feet, and the unique advanced turbine head that cleans pet hair from confined spaces with all the fury that it uses to handle your floors.

I have a Dyson Animal vaccuum sweeper that’s about 2 1/2 years old. It has quit sucking. Kathy
ANSWER : Do you have suction at the attachments? make sure the canister and dirt separater is cleaned and also check both of the filters. replace if necessary. Could also be that your belts are stretched and slipping on the brushroll thus not getting any aggitation, the appearance of no suction

The suction in the hose of my 2 year old Dyson Animal vacuum is compromised. I may have sucked up a small cat toy or something. Regular vac still is fine. The hose “sucks closed” after a few seconds near the top. I love my Dyson! Please help.
ANSWER : Hi there, it sounds as though the wand handle is blocked. To test this, remove the wand handle from the hose and test the suction at the top of the hose. If its strong here, then you will need to remove the blockage from the wand handle. If the suction is still poor, you will need to remove the hose by pressing in the catch on the hose cuff near the base of the machine and removing any blockages.

I hope that this information is useful to you.

Dyson animal We bought a Dyson Animal from Sears a few years ago along with a service contract. We took it each year to be serviced. One year I took it because it lost it’s suction. They sent it to the factory, but it came back still not working right. We did the same procedure over ands over many times than I can remember. I now have the cleaner in my garage and am using my old vacuum because I just can’t seem to get anywhere with Sears. Please help me. We paid almost $600.00 and now it can’t b
ANSWER : As someone who works for Sears, let me just say right now.. The service contract you bought sucks.. and does not really do anything for you. it was just a wast of money ( they have a new one now.. thats so much better because you get your money back in full on a gift card but anyways) When you buy a dyson from any place you really have no need for that contract, since sears CANT touch your dyson. Your really better off calling Dyson up and talking to them yourself, i know you said sears sent it out.. but wait heres a shocker.. Sometimes they never *really* send anything out to be fixed.. if it does not bring them in money, they don’t care.. and then they can get you to buy a *new* vacuum from them with that same S.C. that is of no use!.
.Sorry i cant help with your problem, but just wanted to give you a little insight on how Sears works since K mart bought them.

I need to replace the brushbaron my DC17 Animal model Dyson. It’s almost four years old. I can’t find the correct part number on the Dyson Website and I can’t seem to find a Dyson repair center in Albuquerque, NM.

What are my alternatives? If I can’t service this machine without returning it to Dyson, I won’t ever buy another one.

ANSWER : Hi,
.
.The original Dyson part number for the brush bar (often called brush roll) is: 911961-01
.
.If you type the above part number into Google Products (click link below) you will get a list of suppliers at varying prices. A genuine Dyson part will cost about $20-25. There are some cheaper replacements available but you may need a different belt to use these, so I suggest you buy an original. Make sure the supplier states the part is Original / Genuine Dyson or OEM.

I have the same problem as steve967 The dyson dc16 is fully charged, runs well for 5-10 seconds and shuts down. I wait for a second or 2 and it runs again for 5-10 seconds. This will continue for numerous cycles, until I am finished cleaning. I have cleaned all the filters, and the power is good, The system will just not stay on. It is just over 2 years old. A friend of mine had the same problem with his Dyson DC16 after just a couple of months and has replaced his Dyson with a Black N De
ANSWER : Dear Michael_Stad,

I am going to sound like a broken record but here is my same answer to another person with the same problem.

I have I had the same problem with my Dyson DC16, where it only runs for a few.seconds at a time with each trigger pull. My husband called Dyson.(Canada) and without hassle they shipped us a replacement part which I.just received this morning. The replacement part sent to us is: DC16.Main Body with Rating Plate. It is also under warranty for 1 year. The.great customer service makes up for the flaw in the machine. Also,.Dyson is aware of the problem. Hope this helps.

I have a 2 fluorescent light fixture in my bathroom. The right side light quit working. I took the starter out of the left side and put it in the right and it worked. Starter, right? I bought a package of 2 Leviton starters FS 2 15w. They didn’t work. Thinking bad, I returned it for another package. Still not working. The original starter is a Sylvania FS 2. Is it possible to have FOUR bad “new” starters? Do I need to replace it with the EXACT same starter? This light fixture is 38 years old. No
ANSWER : It is not likely that you had 4 bad starters.I assume you have more modern lights in it too(not 30 yrs old). Here is a link to Sylvania. It may be just that it requires certain something(who knows what)that only Sylvania has.It seems strange because they are all basically the same and a generic one seems like it would work.I also googled flourescent light starters and under one that talked about operation,it did refer to some older models. But like I said,it probably has newer lights so who knows what the heck.Well, here you go.You may also just want to call Sylvania and ask where you can find a replacement instead of paying $5 to ship $2 worth of parts.

My Bisell Revolutionary Lift off vaccuum has a high consistent noise. I have changed and cleaned all filters, but the problem still exists. The vaccuum is approximately 1 – 1 1/2 years old.
ANSWER : Did you check the hose and the dirt inlet by the brush roll for a partial blockage? If no blockage, then it may be coming from the main motor, replacing it is the only way to fix it if it is coming from the motor. Also, some people can hear these higher frequencies, and most can’t, so if this is what it is, there may be no fix for it other then a different vacuum.

I have a hayward 1HP superpump with an Ao Smith UST 1102 motor on it. Last year I had a leak in the pump, and I believe I got some water in the bearings of the motor. Over the winter I replaced all the seals in the pump, and have no leaks this year, but the pump is sounding pretty loud since opening the pool this year.

I have (2) fold question:

(1)I can not find any information on the where I can find a replacement bearing for this pump.

(2) I can not find a procedure on HOW to go about
