How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Your freezer`s red light or high temperature alarm will turn on when it is not cold enough. This means the freezer is not be suitable for storing frozen food until the light has turned off.
The green run light indicates the compressor is running. If the indicator is dark it does not mean the unit is off. The compressor only runs when the compartment temperature is too high. Red = Interior temperature too high.
This is normal during the defrost cycle. This part of the normal defrost process occurs every 9-13 hours to maintain frost free operation. A small heater turns on for a few moments to melt any accumulated frost or ice from the freezer coils.
Understanding your Chest Freezer Indicator Lamps

Fast Freezing – Orange Indicator Switch: if turned on this will be in a state of fast freezing, once cold turn off or the compressor will continually run.

If your fridge is not cooling but the light is on, your freezer may have an icy build-up. Unplugging your refrigerator may be a good troubleshooting move. The ice may be blocking a vent in the freezer that`s preventing your refrigerator portion from properly cooling.
To activate the defrost cycle, push the red defrost button located on the center of the thermostat dial. The defrost cycle is initiated immediately. When defrosting is complete, the red button will release and the refrigerator will resume normal operating conditions.
The benefit of that light is that your food is easier to find. However, since people tend to open their refrigerators more than their freezers, the cost of adding a freezer light outweighs the benefits. For manufacturers, the money they save justifies their decision to forego that second light.
Green Indicator is lit when the appliance is connected to the mains and will glow if there is electricity present. Red Indicator is lit to alert you of a high temperature warning. If the red indicator remains switched on, wait 24-hours before calling the service centre.
Your freezer is supposed to freeze your food not freeze itself. One of the most obvious signs of how to tell if your freezer is going out is when it`s so frozen that the door sticks or ice starts forming on the side where you`d have to literally chisel it off.
Freezer and Cooler lighting

When it comes to freezers, you have to be cool to be kind. Help the environment and drive down energy costs, with LED lights that don`t heat up your coolers. Bright, clean light enhances the color and quality of your products, making them more eye-catching.

Back in the days before frost-free freezers, a freezer light would have quickly become covered up by ice crystals, rendering it relatively useless. Since that time, so the story goes, people have become so used to having no light in their freezer, manufacturers didn`t see the point in adding one (see Theory 2).
If your fridge is not cooling, the air vents may be blocked. Blocked air vents can prevent cool air from filtering inside the appliance. Check the vents inside your refrigerator and freezer and remove any items that may be blocking them.
On every fridge the rules for the coldest settings are always the following: The numbers on the fridge`s temperature dial indicate refrigerant power. The higher the number goes the colder the fridge will maintain. Setting it to 5 will make your fridge the coldest.
You should defrost when the ice thickness reaches ¼ or ½ inch. Otherwise, your freezer is working harder to cool your food, wasting energy and raising your bills in the process. Plus, the more ice you let build, the longer the eventual (and inevitable) defrosting process will be!
The safest way to defrost a freezer is to turn it off and wait for the ice to defrost naturally. If you really can`t wait that long, you can use a hairdryer or another method, but do take care! As above, make sure that you turn the freezer off and pull the plug out from the wall before you start work.
How long does it take to defrost a freezer? If you switch the freezer off and then leave the doors open, you should allow 24 hours to allow the freezer to defrost completely.
Freezer Air is Escaping.

If you find your freezer cold but not freezing, the first thing you should do is test your freezer door. You may have failed to notice that an item is sticking out enough to keep the door ajar, meaning that precious cold air is escaping your freezer.

If your refrigerator light is not coming on, it may be that the bulb has reached the end of its lifespan and has burned out. Check the bulb to see if it has a dark area in the bulb or has a broken and loose filament. When you shake the bulb, you may hear a rattling noise if the filament inside is damaged.
As for the freezer, a temperature of 0° F will keep foods thoroughly frozen. But the temperature controls on many fridges only allow you to choose from a series of numbers, usually 1 through 5, with 1 being the coldest and 5 being the warmest.
Keep your appliances at the proper temperatures.

The freezer temperature should be 0° F (-18° C). Check temperatures periodically.

Green Indicator is lit when the appliance is connected to the mains and will glow if there is electricity present. Red Indicator is lit to alert you of a high temperature warning. If the red indicator remains switched on, wait 24-hours before calling the service centre.
Red light is on to tell you the water filter has used about 300 gallons of water thru it , or about 6 months of use , change the water filter , reset the filter indicator by touching the ice type/water hold 3 sec for filter reset button.
A red flashing light on a freezer indicates that your appliance isn`t cold enough. It`s a high-temperature warning light, and you may also hear an alarm sound. Putting hot food in the freezer, the door not shutting all the way, or blocked vents in the freezer are common causes.

I have a Roomba 560 (it’s still in warranty !!) and, after my summer vacation, it has a problem.
When I’m charging Roomba, the orange light blinks (and this is normal!) but this orange blinking continues forever…. the light doesn’t change to green.
If I detach Roomba from the charger, the light become green and it works normally until the light changes to red and I have to charge it again.

WHY, DURING THE CHARGING PHASE, THE LIGHT DOESN’T CHANGE FROM ORANGE-BLINKING TO GREEN?

HAVE I

ANSWER : The problem is not with the charger itself but it is with the battery inside the Roomba. It sunds like one or more of the cells has gone bad so its not holding the same charge as it did. I would recomend sending it in while the warranty is still valid so they will replace it. Your charger and the Roomba itself should be fine.

A few tips to keep the battery working longer:
Only charge the battery when it is drained all the way to zero. It will help keep the battery active.

Only charge the battery until it is full and then disconect it from the power source. It will keep it active longer plus it will help keep your electric bill down.

I have a Casa Blanca Intelitouch ceiling fan.
Panama5
12004T model no.??
serial no.: AU16550
A casa blanca tri-switch on the wall: lights-fan-power

When I turn it on, the lights and fan work fine.
After a period of time, the lights go off by themselves.
I don’t remember the fan ever going off by itself, only the lights.

ANSWER : The light are going off only because after a period of time the circuit lets off the trigger on the switching thyristor. So the fault is within the control box of the unit which must be taken out to confirm.
.Now attempt to do the job only if your are competent with high voltage circuits as the circuit must be checked before and after the lights switch off.
.It is also possible that the switching device the thyristor may be on dry soldering joint. So with the mains power off( or the power disconnected to the unit) have yourself insulated , use a soldering iron to touch up all the joints.
.Failure of capacitors in the trigger circuit is also possible to have this delay off.
.Trace the trigger voltage cut off at this point to come to the solution.( use a multimeter)
