If you`ve noticed your lawn mower smoking and leaking oil, it`s most likely due to a dirty air filter. The air filter in an engine keeps debris and dirt out of it, while the grass and dust accumulate over time. When the air filters are clogged, oil can leak into the engine and out of the exhaust system.
THE METER DISPLAY WILL RESET TO NORMAL AUTOMATICALLY, after the reminder maintenance time interval of two (2) hours. There is no method of manually re-setting this Service Monitor gauge.
A dirty filter chokes off air to the engine making it hard to start so check to see if yours needs to be replaced. If you need a new filter be sure to use the original manufacturers part or the correct Toro replacement. These can often be purchased at your local Toro dealer or a home improvement store.
To reset your oil light, simply pump your gas pedal down to the floor 3 times, pausing briefly between each pump. Depending on your car`s model and year, you might see a message on your dash telling you the light is reset.
Every time you get your car`s oil changed, it`s important to reset the oil change indicator light on your dashboard. If you don`t reset the indicator, you may find that your car will indicate that you need another oil change far sooner than it should.
An overfull oil reservoir may also cause white or blue smoke. Ensure you didn`t overfill the mower by checking the oil level with the dipstick located on the reservoir. To do this, remove the dipstick cap, wipe off the stick with a rag, and reinsert it into the reservoir.

My purple Dyson Animal (without the ball) isn’t working correctly. When I turn it on, the red power light, as well as the medium pile buttons flashes. When I first turn it on, the brush rotates for 3 to 5 seconds, then once I start moving the vacuum, it stops and that’s when the lights start flashing. I’ve checked the filters, they are dry and installed correctly. What could be the problem?
ANSWER : I need help repairing my Dyson. I cannot push the buttons down to select Short pile/Medium pile or bare floor. The buttons will not push down at all. It will not allow me to select anything. I have very short pile carpet so it does not pick up that well.

My Singer Izek sewing machine starts and stops and wont sew continuously. When I push down the pedal it sews about 2 inches then stops and light starts flashing, I have to let off of the pedal and push it again, over and over. It did this once before for awhile and then just started sewing right for awhile and now its started it again. I’ve checked everything.
ANSWER : If it’s not the thread and not the pedal then it’s definitely a power problem. You need to replace the power cable and then check again the functionality.

We have a zenith dehumidifier model ZD300 & the bucket full light keeps flashing. the percentage number wont go higher than 1%. we have turned it off/on & unplugged it. ANSWER : I’ve had the same issue with mine. I am a 12 year refrigeration tech. I checked the float switch which would normally cause that indication light. However manually pushing the switch and then checking it with an electric meter that was not the case. I think that is instead, an error code set by the manufacturer to assist the service tech when or if this failure occurs during the warrenty period. I also checked the next possible failure in the sequence of opperation which would be the compressor overload relay. That is sometimes why, as some people have posted, that after when unplugging the unit, it operates for a short time then again fails. In my case that was the failure. If that would have not been it than I would have tried the compressor start relay. I purchased the overload relay from my local HVAC/plumbing supply for around 7$. The control can easily be replaced by any handy homeowner. Also, as a service tech, 7$ and two wire nuts is better than a 145+$ service call.

My new H2O Mop Ultra (Danoz) seems to heat up ok then when the light switches to green and I start using it, the orange light comes back on as well as the green. Produces steam to start with but then it starts to spit water too and everything ends up wet. Any ideas on whats wrong or should I just send it back?
ANSWER : That is a major hardware fault, I have seen this numerous times with these H2O mop’s… They seem to either work perfectly for a long while or have problems right off the bat. You definitely want to send this unit back and either get a refund or at least have them send you a new one..
.Thanks.Tim

I have a Roomba 560 (it’s still in warranty !!) and, after my summer vacation, it has a problem.
When I’m charging Roomba, the orange light blinks (and this is normal!) but this orange blinking continues forever…. the light doesn’t change to green.
If I detach Roomba from the charger, the light become green and it works normally until the light changes to red and I have to charge it again.

WHY, DURING THE CHARGING PHASE, THE LIGHT DOESN’T CHANGE FROM ORANGE-BLINKING TO GREEN?

HAVE I

ANSWER : The problem is not with the charger itself but it is with the battery inside the Roomba. It sunds like one or more of the cells has gone bad so its not holding the same charge as it did. I would recomend sending it in while the warranty is still valid so they will replace it. Your charger and the Roomba itself should be fine.

A few tips to keep the battery working longer:
Only charge the battery when it is drained all the way to zero. It will help keep the battery active.

Only charge the battery until it is full and then disconect it from the power source. It will keep it active longer plus it will help keep your electric bill down.
