Dust before vacuuming
We recommend dusting before vacuuming, this is because dust particles usually get moved around the room when you dust, meaning all your hard work will go to waste. A top tip is to wait at least 2 hours after dusting to get the vacuum out.
To attain a state of vacuum, a space must be empty, i.e. devoid of all gaseous material. The consequence of this is that the pressure in this space is very low, as it contains no or only a small number of particles, which exert a force on an area as a result of their impact against the walls.
Utilizing electrical power, air is continually pulled out from inside a vacuum cleaner. This produces an internal vacuum. Outside air at atmospheric pressure is thereby drawn in, accompanied with light dust and dirt.

Your Vax carpet cleaner may not be picking up water because the machine has picked up too much grime, and has become blocked up. Check around the head of the carpet cleaner for anything obvious that might make the suction on the Vax weaker, or look for clumps of hair that could be caught in the bristles.
There is a `charge` light on the vacuum that indicates battery strength. When it is fully charged all 3 lights are lit.
If it is a lithium ion battery then yes it can stay plugged in all the time. But if it is a nickel metal hydride then it should be run down, charged fully and then unplugged.

Fill the water tank on your steam cleaner, and allow time to heat-up time. Your cleaner may have an indicator light to let you know when it`s ready, or you may just have to wait a few minutes.
Heating Element. A common cause to your cleaner not producing steam can be a failed heating element. As the heater is used to heat up the water, if that has ruptured or burnt out your steam cleaner will not produce any steam. With the water tank filled and switched on the steamer should sound like a boiling kettle.
Sometimes Steam doesn`t close properly, so when you are trying to start it, it won`t open because it already is open. To fix this, you just have to open your Task Manager and look for Steam in “Processes”. If you found it, just right-click it and select “end task”. Now you should be able to open Steam again.
Soak and Clean the Nozzle: Submerge the nozzle in the warm vinegar and allow it to soak for at least eight hours or overnight. Remove the nozzle and rinse well with warm water. Use a toothpick to gently remove any deposits from each nozzle. Rinse again and dry with a towel.
With the exception of a few models that have dual functions, steam mops are typically designed to be used with water and nothing else. The steam alone does a great job of cleaning the floor. Always read the manual on your mop model thoroughly for complete use guidelines.

It is recommended to clean this filter every time the bin is emptied – to clean the filter simply rinse it under some warm water and let it dry for 24 hours. It is very important to only fit the filter again once it is completely dry otherwise the vacuum cleaner may become damaged.
