Laundry Detergents aren`t Formulated for Carpet Cleaning
Of course not! Cleaning solutions are specifically formulated to clean and not damage the machines they`re used in and the material they`re treating. Laundry soap is designed to be used in washing machines to clean clothing.
Extractors use a mild solution of hot or cold water and a cleaning chemical, which are applied to the carpet and agitated deeply into the pile. By absorbing the dirt in a cleaning solution, the mixture is then vacuumed into the extractor, where it is subsequently disposed of.
Fill up with warm water.
That`s why we recommend filling up your carpet cleaner`s tank with warm water. Some BISSELL Carpet Cleaners also use HeatWave technology to keep the water hot throughout the cleaning process.

How long does it take carpets and upholstery to dry after carpet cleaning? On the average, it will take approximately 2-4 hours for carpet and upholstery to dry after being carpet cleaned. To expedite the drying process, you will want to use a fan and increase your air circulation.
Just empty the water out of the tank after each use. Doing so will prevent leaking and extend the life of your filter.

Mix equal parts hot water and vinegar and pour in your carpet cleaner`s reservoir tank. Clean your carpets as per your cleaner`s instructions. Yes, vinegar might leave a temporary pickle smell in your home but it dissipates and disappears as your carpets dry.
You simply put the hose unit in the inlet and begin vacuuming. The system then carries the dirt, dust and debris out of the room, through the in-wall tubing, to the main power unit, where it is deposited in a canister or bag.
A dust extractor is similar to a shop vac, but can move a larger volume of air. Dust extractors also have better filters, typically HEPA grade that traps airborne dust down to 0.3 microns. Consider it a portable dust collector that you can take with you to the job site!
The extractor works best and fastest if applied to a raw leather surface. If you are working with a finished leather, stripping the effected area before extractor application will dramatically speed up the extraction process.
We recommend using distilled or demineralized water in place of tap water. Do not use any chemicals in the water tank.
Using the marks on the inside of the formula cap, add 8oz of water to tank. Hold the tank so the top is level and use a permanent marker to mark a new water fill line on the tank. sing the marks on the inside of the formula cap, add 8oz of BISSELL 2X formula to the tank.

To power on the machine, step on the red Power Switch Pedal located on the back of the vacuum by the bottom. If there is still no power, unplug your machine from the wall. Check the entire length of the power cord, and discontinue use if there is any damage.

I purchased my Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview a few years or so ago, and cannot find where I filed the manuals. If I find the actual seriel number on the Bissel PowerSteamer Clearview, Is there a way that I can purchase another manual? I really do not have any problem with my Bissel, but being I am 75 years of age and do not use it myself anymore, I want to give it to a daughter of mine (but I would like to have the manuals that go with it to give to her also).

This was my grandmothers machine and when she passed there was no owners manual so I am not sure how to use the settings on it or oil it properly. I so want to use it cause it was hers but don’t want to mess up the machine. She never even got a chance to use it before she passed away. I just have no owners manual. Bissell Pro Heat 8910 clogged?
ANSWER : Why the motor sounds muffled I am not sure. When the water is sucked up, it goes directly into the tank. The motor only creates the suction so it can do that. There should be a filter on the rim of the recovery tank lid, is it clean? Other then pulling the top cover off, and then the motor cover so you can inspect the motor, I really don’t have a good answer for you. I t may be that that clump of hair when down the chute and into the fan, I have seen that happen with vacuum motors before.
