The model number is on the top left of the Bar code. Here is list of some very common positions or areas of the Dyson Vacuum where you will find the model and serial sticker.
A Dyson vacuum cleaner has a lifespan of around 10 years. This is considerably longer than most other vacuums. So, if you`re looking for a high-quality vacuum cleaner that will last you for a long time, a Dyson could be a good choice. However, remember that Dyson vacuums are expensive.
We will take back an equivalent item to the one you purchase. For instance, when you buy a new vacuum cleaner, we can take back your old vacuum cleaner for responsible disposal. Similarly, when you purchase a new Dyson Supersonic or Dyson Purifier, we can take back your old machines if you wish.
Cordless vacuum cleaners are identified by names such as “V11” or “V7” which denote the version of the appliance (the higher the model number, the greater its specification). Older cordless models pre-dating the Dyson V6 have names in the “DC14” style.
The biggest difference between the two is how long it runs. While the V8 cleans as well as the V10, it won`t run as long. Go with the Dyson V10 if your home is bigger. Otherwise, go with the V8.
Give it a break

By letting the battery run down to empty at least once a month, you`ll help to prolong its life. If you have a spare battery, we recommend you swap them out from time to time, so that they both have time to naturally discharge.

Check the LED light to determine the battery level. A solid blue light indicates that the machine is in normal operating mode. A flashing blue light indicates that there is no power, and the battery needs to be charged for a minimum of 3.5 hours.
Yes, we accept Dyson and non-Dyson old products to trade up for the eligible new Dyson products with exclusive savings. 5. My old machine is not working, can I still join this Trade-up programme? You will still be eligible for the Trade-up programme regardless of your old machine condition.
If you`re looking for a complete rebuild, you can expect to pay $100 or more. However, you may be able to get your Dyson repaired for free if the service is covered by the product`s warranty. According to Dyson, cordless vacuums have a two-year warranty while corded models have a five-year warranty.
The first, and arguably most important, part of the vacuum cleaner is the suction motor. This is what creates the vacuum pressure and suction power by utilizing a rotating motor fan.
KEY TAKEAWAYS: Bagged vacuum cleaners comprise six main parts, including angled fan blades, a porous bag, an exhaust port, an intake port, an electric motor, and a housing unit. Extra attachments include brush heads, vacuum hoses, and angular suction tools.
Essentially, the system is comprised of four main components: the main vacuum unit, pipes and inlets, a vacuum hose, and cleaning tools. The vacuum hose and cleaning tools are what you – the consumer – will most directly interact with. They`re pretty familiar and work just as they would on any vacuum cleaner.
Yes. The battery is designed to be left on charge permanently, and this will ensure that the vacuum is fully charged when it`s next used. Once the battery is fully charged, your machine won`t use any more electricity and will enter a standby/idle state.
Dyson V8 Stick Vacuum

The Dyson V8 vacuum is one of Dyson`s most powerful stick vacuums. Up to a 40-minute run time, multiple floor cleaning heads, and a HEPA filter all come together to create a well-rounded stick vacuum.

It`s important to fully charge the machine before using it for the first time, and after every clean. This helps to improve the algorithm`s accuracy. The battery is designed to be left on charge permanently, and this will ensure that the vacuum is fully charged when it`s next used.
Leaving a cordless vacuum cleaner on charge for an extended period of time may not damage the battery, but it can reduce the overall lifespan of the battery. Most cordless vacuums are equipped with a charging system that prevents overcharging, which can extend the life of the battery.
Pet owners, we recommend 1-2 years between service, light use every 2-4 years between services. Heavy use serviced annually.
Dyson invested £2.5 billion in research and development.

While you might feel that this is the reason their products are expensive, you`re highly mistaken. This investment was mainly to accommodate a centre for their 1,200 employees, 22 laboratories, prototyping space, and areas for collaborative work.

To reset the Brush bar press the Brush bar control button twice or switch the machine off and back on.
Dyson battery life

On average, it has been seen that Dyson battery of these handheld vacuums will last for around 4 years. Generally, it is seen that lithium-ion batteries tend to wear-off after the first year of its usage, as they are limited to a few charging cycles.

Just like any other item, there will be organic ageing – so don`t expect to get the same suction power as a brand new Dyson – however purchasing something that has been taken care of is important. If anything worries you, it is probably best to return the Dyson and purchase from another seller.
Shop Dyson refurbished machines

Every machine has completed the Dyson refurbishment process, and comes with the following: Six-month or one-year warranty. Genuine Dyson parts. Support from Dyson Experts.

When your Dyson no longer powers on even after charging the most likely cause is a damaged battery. This means the battery will no longer hold a charge and will need to be replaced. Once a new battery is purchased you can learn how to replace it by visiting our battery replacement page here.
The battery pack of the Dyson v6 Absolute provides 20 minutes of powerful, consistent suction on a 3.5-hour charge. It is easily removed and replaced.
