If your Roomba® i Series Robot Vacuum is not turning on or is not able to charge, rebooting your robot tends to solve most related issues. To reboot your Roomba: Press and hold the CLEAN button for 20 seconds. After you release the button, the light ring will show a white clockwise swirl while it reboots.
Charging contacts. Dirt or built-up debris may be preventing your robot from charging. Please unplug the base and grab a clean, lightly dampened melamine foam, such as a Magic Eraser to clean the contacts on the robot and base.
You can easily check the status of the battery in the iRobot® HOME App. A battery icon will be displayed in the top-right corner, indicating the current status of the battery.

Factory reset on a Wi-Fi Connected Roomba® and Braava jet®
e Series Robots: Press and Hold the Home and Spot Clean and CLEAN button down for 20 seconds then release. 900 Series Robots: Press and Hold the Dock and Spot Clean and CLEAN button down until all LEDs illuminate.
If your Braava jet® m Series Robot Mop will not charge, it`s very likely the power cord is not fully inserted into the Home Base®. First, confirm that the outlet is working, by plugging in another device such as a lamp and confirm it works. If it does not work, move the Home Base® to a known working outlet.
If you get a more affordable model, like Roomba 675 you can expect a lifespan of up to two years. Go to the higher-end, like the iRobot j7+, and our research and testing suggest you can get five years plus of cleaning with proper maintenance.
If you still have a run time of 10-15 minutes, we suggest you to purchase a new battery. Batteries are covered by a 6-month warranty, they should last between 1 to 2 years. Can`t anyone give a better answer to `how long does the standard roomba battery last?
Check whether you need a fresh pair of batteries. Perform a Power reset: Un-plug the TV power cord for 60 secs (or 2 minutes for Android TVs) and plug back in. Alternatively, for Android TVs perform a reset by holding down the power button on the remote control for 5 seconds. Perform a TV software update.
It may take up to a minute and a half for your robot to reboot. The reboot procedure is complete when the light ring shuts off. Note: For 600 series robots, see below. Note: A robot reset will reset the clock of a non-connected robot.

You can put the RoboVac on the charging base/auto-empty station though it`s fully charged. The battery protection circuit prevents the battery from being overcharged. Once the RoboVac is fully charged, it will stop drawing power. In this way, the vacuum can always be ready and cleaned on schedule daily.
If your RoboVac has been used for more than one year, it may be time to replace the battery. Replacing the battery usually fixes this specific issue. You can purchase a new battery to replace the existing battery.
Charging time under normal conditions is at least 2 hours. For best results, use only the battery type compatible with your robot and ensure that it is an authentic iRobot Lithium Ion/NiMH battery that comes with Roomba or purchased from iRobot authorized dealers.
If the red light ring around the CLEAN button is pulsing, the Roomba i Series battery charge is too law to start cleaning.
Your charging cable could be loose, unplugged, or damaged. Your charging cable could have a weak connection because it wasn`t made by your laptop`s manufacturer. Your charging ports could be clogged with dirt or debris that is keeping it from powering up properly.
Clean the dock`s charing contacts
If the contacts get too dirty, the vacuum will have a tough time getting a solid charging connection, and it may be unable to dock as a result. The best way to clean the Roomba`s charging contacts is with a damp melamine foam, like Mr. Clean`s Magic Eraser.
Error three (3) means your j series robot is on an obstacle or an uneven surface and the Right Wheel is stuck. If this is the case, lift your Roomba® off the floor, place it in the center of the room, and restart the clean cycle. If this error occurred on a flat surface, check the Right Wheel for obstructions.
Most owners believe that running their robot vacuums four times per week is sufficient to keep the floors dust-free. However, if you have children or pets, you should use your robot vacuum more frequently. Daily vacuuming is recommended if you suffer from seasonal allergies.
