Vacuums: For the past decade, Kenmore`s flagship vacuums were made by Panasonic (less-expensive models came from TTI, Eureka, and PhoneMate). Now that Panasonic is winding down its North American small appliance business, upcoming Kenmore vacuums will be manufactured by a company called Cleva.
How long do Kenmore vacuums last? A. It`s suggested that the typical vacuum can last up to an average of eight years. With proper maintenance, a Kenmore vacuum could last that long or longer.
Kenmore model numbers typically include a three-digit prefix followed by a dot and a series of numbers that represent the specific appliance model. The prefix can help identify the manufacturer of the appliance. Here are some common prefixes and the manufacturers they represent: 110, 106, 562: Whirlpool. 795, 796: LG.
Kenmore is a recognized brand in the appliance industry and has been around over 100 years. Kenmore offers high-quality refrigerators in a wide range of sizes and models at affordable prices. Variety: Kenmore offers a huge selection of appliances, from mini-refrigerators to giant, commercial appliances.
The brand first appeared on a four-drawer drop feed sewing machine sold from 1913 to 1919. The first Kenmore washing machine was introduced in 1927.
You may not know this, but Kenmore does not manufacture its own appliances. The appliances are manufactured by many other companies, like Whirlpool and GE.
Miele (/ˈmiːlə/ MEE-EH-lə; German: [ˈmiːlə]) is a German manufacturer of high-end domestic appliances and commercial equipment, headquartered in Gütersloh, Ostwestfalen-Lippe. Check service panel for tripped breakers/blown fuses. If breaker is tripped, reset it. If fuse is blown, replace it. If vacuum cleaner is plugged in, be sure power button is in the off position before resetting breaker/changing fuse.
The average life expectancy of a mid-range vacuum cleaner is about six years. You can fix or replace things like blocked filters, jammed brush rolls, frayed hoses, worn-out stick vac batteries and broken accessories yourself.
The bottom line. Many vacuum brands recommend changing the bag before it becomes full, at least every three months. The purpose of changing the vacuum bag when you need to is so that your vacuum cleaner is working at an optimal level.
Sometimes abbreviated as model or model no., a model number is a unique number given to each product made by computer hardware manufacturers. Model numbers allow manufacturers to keep track of each hardware device and identify or replace the proper part when needed.
To determine the age of your appliance, use your serial number (not the model number) to identify the date it was manufactured.
To Determine Manufacture Date Based on Serial Number: The 1st three numbers of your serial number will always provide your manufacture date. The 1st number is the YEAR of manufacture; the 2nd & 3rd numbers indicate the MONTH of manufacture.
According to the serial number this product may have been manufactured in Clyde, OH, April of 1976 or 1986 or 2016.
Kenmore-brand appliances: at least some models are made in USA. Available from Sears and KMart. (Sears is a retailer, not a manufacturer, so Kenmore washers and dryers are manufactured by many different companies, including Amana, Frigidaire, GE, Jenn-Air, LG, and Whirlpool.
Investors reacted quite favorably to the news that Kenmore appliances will soon be sold through Amazon.
Kenmore was named by John McMasters. He and his wife, Annie, were originally from the small town of Kenmore, Canada – 40 miles south of Ottawa. They arrived in Puget Sound in 1889 and leased land at Kenmore from Squire and named the area after his old home town.
Washers and dryers last 10 to 13 years on average.

To locate your product`s model number, simply find the product`s label showing UL listing information and electrical specifications. The model number is clearly marked and printed there. This label is normally on the back of the product.
A Shark product code is made up of four parts. The first part is a series of two or three letters, which lets you know the broad product type. The second part is the model number, which is either three or four digits. Generally speaking, the higher the number, the better (and often more expensive) the device is.

ANSWER : Check the inlet where the dirt is first sucked in for a clog, also your hose may be clogged.

I purchased a brand new Eureka Pet vacuum, sorry don’t know exact name but it the one that has the self cleaning duster on it. Last night I used the vacuum on my carpet, it was working fine until I accidently sucked up the corner of a scarf that was hanging off a couch. I shut the vacuum off, pulled out the scarf and and resumed vacuuming. Much to my dismay the suction on the vacuum had ceased. Can you tell me if there is a reset button on the vacuum? The vacuum does not appear to be damage
ANSWER : If the motor is running, there should be suction. Possible problems depend on whether it’s a canister or upright and are:
.A clog in the hose, UR or canister. Detach hose. Drop small coin in one end and lift hose causing it to roll out the other. If it does, no clog in hose. Drop same coin into hose opening on power head. If it rolls out, no clog in PN.
.Broken fan blades, UR. Needs to be taken to shop for repair/replacement.
.
.A reset button is for use if the motor isn’t running, so won’t have anything to do with the suction.

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. ANSWER : Remove the cap that directs the air and insert the hose in there.

Bad Motor I have purchased two of the Kenmore direct drive beltless systems with Progressive systems. The first died after a year, the vacuum motor start making a grinding noies. I pulled the side HEPA filter and could see a fine coating of graphite like dust. Took it to a vacuum repair shop. They said the brushes were going and thus the motor was shot. I liked the vacuum and bought a second, 1 year later the motor is making a slight noise that and removing the HEPA filter I find a slight metall
ANSWER : That dust is from the carbon brushes on the motor. You may need to check them, and also clean out the motor compartment. A slight noise could be a motor bearing starting to go. Does the smell like rubber or electrical. If rubber, then the belt has stretched and needs to replaced. If electrical, then something is causing the motor to run hot, like a clogged filter, or it could be a motor going bad.
