Kenmore Quick Clean 30012 Vacuum\015 I have a Kenmore Quick Clean, which I bought at Sears on sale. \302\240When I got it home, I realized that there was NO Owner’s Manual with it. \302\240When I called the store, they told me that it was probably an ‘open box’ purchase – meaning that the product had been sold, then returned. \302\240The returned products often no longer have the Owners’ Manual with them. \302\240The sales lady told me that all sales were final and that I could find a copy of the Owners’ Manual on the Kenmore web page. \302\240However, when I tried that – I had NO luck. \302\240..Basically, all I want to do at this point is to figure out how to remove the canister which holds the dirt so that I can empty that and begin the operation all over again. \302\240I have looked in every conceivable nook and cranny but just can NOT find any kind of latch or button which would release the canister so it can be removed and emptied. \302\240Does anyone know how to do this. \302\240Also, if someone has a ink for the CORRECT Kenmore web page which WOULD have a copy of the Owners’ Manual for this product, I would greatly appreciate it! \302\240Thanks in advance – Deborah\015
How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?
Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced Vacuum Technicians :
Fill your filter(s) with warm tap water. Cover the open ends with your hands and shake firmly to remove the dirt. Repeat until the water runs clear and then firmly shake the filter to remove all excess water.
If the motor filter (located below the bag) is dirty, hand wash with soapy water. Rinse with clear water, squeeze out excess water, and allow it to dry completely before returning it to the vacuum. Insert a new dust bag and close the cover.
Turn the suction unit “off” and allow vacuum to drop. Disconnect the suction unit from its power source. Disconnect the tubing from the canister and remove from holder. Carefully remove lid and empty contents.
Clog located in the vacuum hose
Turn the unit on and feel the suction at the end of the hose handle. If there is no or low suction, then the clog is in the hose. You can remove the clog by running a long, stiff object through the hose, such as a butter knife, starting at the wall end.
Turn on the vacuum. Place the nozzle on top of the water. Hold it in place until the water under and around it is depleted. Progressively move the nozzle to a new section until all of the water is gone.
Cleaning the vacuum head (at the base of the vacuum) involves the removal of any tangled hairs or threads from the beater bar by using a seam ripper or very small, sharp scissors. If the brushes look crushed or worn, consider replacing them. Wipe down the motor belt with a damp cloth to remove dust.
Press the stop button if the oven is in self-cleaning mode.
To deactivate it, hold the stop button down for at least 3 seconds. During self-cleaning, the oven heats to a high temperature to incinerate any debris inside of it.
Attachments are quite easy to clean – just fill a sink or bucket with warm water and about a teaspoon of dish soap and drop them in. For any attachment that has hair stuck in it, you can use your cleaning toothbrush to brush it away.
Canister vacuums separate the motor and dirt container from the handle and (power) head. A hose connects the handle and head to a canister which houses the motor and dirt container. The choice of canister vs. upright vacuums depends heavily upon your usage, personal preference, and budget.
Attachments are quite easy to clean – just fill a sink or bucket with warm water and about a teaspoon of dish soap and drop them in. For any attachment that has hair stuck in it, you can use your cleaning toothbrush to brush it away.

A vacuum pump removes air and moisture from the system before the system is damaged. The deeper and more complete the vacuum, the more moisture is removed, and the likelihood of system complications caused by unwanted water or other contaminants is reduced.

Kenmore Quick Clean – how to remove dirt from cannister
Our Bissell Cleanview II 3576M does a great job except that the filter cup below the dirt cup gets full very fast and the dirt cup barely has anything in it. To clean the whole house, I have to empty the dirt cup and clean the filter several times. It didn’t use to work this way. It seems like something is missing, a gasket or seal maybe? I don’t think dirt, hair and debris should be going straight to the lower cup and bypassing the upper. I looked at the user guide but can’t see why it’s happen
My Kenmore Quick Clean vac clogs at the top of cannister and does not let dirt to go to canister. After vacuum for few minutes have to stop empty before continuing to get rug clean. Is there anything that I can do to solve problem.
ANSWER : You need to own an air compressor, and blow out all vacuums ,after each use.
Hi,
There is a high pitched whirring sound coming from lower part of the vacuum. When I tilt it toward me (while standing in the normal vacuuming stance) the sound sometimes lessens for a minute or so. I have tried the following things:
-cleaned the two sponge filters
-emptied the dirt receptacle
-removed the roller and cleaned it
-cleaned the brushes
-the belt is not ragged and does not seem floppy
-checked all of the airways for clogs (including removing the wheel base)
Can you help?
ANSWER : Your looking for some dirt stuck in some thing you didn’t check yet. with the roller out and the belt out of the way run it to see if it still makes the noise. if it does then you looking at the impeller or the motor bearing themselfs those bearings can be full of dirt or worn out If its running smooth with the belt off then the rooler bearings are next they may only squeel with the belt load on them but install it with the belt off and see if it turns smoothly, ( it should twirl with your finger ) if it turns hard keep cleaning and or replace the bearings, Then run it again to make sure it’s not making the noise hten take it apart again and put the belt on and see if its fixed, It’s possible to put the belt on backwards the brush should be turning as to pull the machine forward on the floor.
Roomba keeps saying clean brushes yet are clean!
ANSWER : Make sure you take off the little cap at the end (the one that spins — just grab it and pull it straight off) and clean under it too. The rest of the brush may look perfectly clean but what happens is that hair gets stuck under spinning cap and, like a slowly growing washer, it pushes the whole brush toward the gear box. When it gets pushed over enough, the large yellow ring starts to rub against the side of the brush deck making it harder for the motor to turn the brush and you get that “remove and clean brushes” message.
I have a cannister Dirt Devil Easy Lite, I have misplaced the booklet that came with it. My ? is how do I release the cannister to clean out dirt?
Kenmore Model 116 Cannister Vacuum.Trying to get into motor area. Think belt is worn out. I have removed the front two screws under the hinged cover, but can not remove cover over motor.. Still attached at rear. No evidence of any more screws to remove.
ANSWER : Under the cordwinder actuator button, are your other two screws. To remove this cover, take a flat tipped screwdriver and , very carefully, find the “tabs” (there are two) both on the front section under the button. Then, Carefully, press them in and back and up, in that order, one at atime, or both if you can. Your button should pop off, it can be a bit tricky, I know, it feels like it could break. But don’t worry, they usually don’t break. If you think that there is a problem with your belt, there is no reason to be accessing the motor compartment, for there is not a belt anywhere except the power nozzle, and if you press the circuit breaker/reset switch (while unit is running) located on the power nozzle, this will often solve problems with your belt. I hope i could help fixya! Let me know, thanks! Rene (the Vacuum Doctor)
Which Kenmore vacuum cleaners are made by Panasonic? Are all of their direct drive machines made by Panasonic? We have a blue Hoover Windtunnel with the dirt sensor. It cleans well, but it is unbelievably noisy. I wondered if something was out of place and the brushes were hitting, but everything looks normal. We bought Kenmore models 36722 and 36724 and love them. I believe they were made by Panasonic. Our Kirby sits in the basement. Much heavier. These are quiet and clean well. I would like an
ANSWER : Some Kenmore vacuums are made by Panasonic, some are made by Hoover or Eureka or even Sebo. I would go to a Panasonic dealer for that kind of machine instead of trying to go by the Kenmore brand. Sears has a hard time with service. A good Vacuum Cleaner Dealer that carries Panasonic wouldn’t steer you wrong and take good care of you after the sale.
