How to Identify and Fix Common Vacuum Problems ?

Our sources include academic articles, blog posts, and personal essays from experienced Vacuum Technicians :

Step 1: Brewer must be powered off but plugged in. Step 2: Place a mug on the Drip Tray to catch the water to be drained. Step 3: Check if there is water left in the Cold Water Reservoir. If so, lift the brewer handle to drain the water in the Cold Water Reservoir into the Hot Water Tank.
The most likely reason for a Keurig not pumping water is water scaling, debris that builds up and interferes with the Keurig water pump. There are a number of ways to resolve this problem. The simplest is to take out the Keurig water reservoir, empty it out, and refill it about a third of the way.
Depending on your Keurig model, the water reservoir may be located on the side or back of the machine. Remove the lid of the reservoir and set it aside, then lift the reservoir itself up and away from the Keurig. Rinse it with cool, clean water in your sink. Some Keurig reservoirs can`t be removed from the machine.
Thanks for your question. The K-Mini Plus Coffee Maker is designed with a single cup water reservoir for ultimate portability, there is no internal water reservoir – just add fresh water for each brew. We hope this information is helpful!
Each Keurig coffee maker has a serial number that tells you exactly which model you own. The serial number should be in one of three places: Behind the water reservoir (visible once removed) Behind the drip tray.
the perfect temp awaits. Make tea, indulge in a hot chocolate or grab a quick cup of soup with hot water, instantly delivered at the press of a lever. Want refreshing cold water instead? It`s waiting too, and the extra-large dispensing area accommodates carafes and sports bottles for on-the-go hydration.
Keurigs have an external plastic water tank for cold water. It`s not insulated or heated, so if you put hot water in it, it`ll get cold pretty fast. Keurigs also have an internal tank with a heating element.
Each K-Cup should use five to seven ounces of water; that`s less than one full cup of water. In other words – be stingy with your water when brewing to get a stronger cup of coffee. The beauty of a Keurig is that it allows everyone who uses it to personally select his or her favorite coffee settings.
The water reservoir should be cleaned weekly by wiping it with a damp, soapy, lint-free, non-abrasive cloth and rinsing thoroughly…. If the brewer is not used for several days, we recommend running several cleansing brews through to remove any internal standing water.
No, the Keurig K-Mini coffee maker and K-Mini Plus machines do not have a water filter or the option to add one. These machines are too small to fit a water filter and do not have a water reservoir like other models. What is this?
Thanks for your question. We recommend using bottled or filtered spring water in your Keurig coffee maker. Coffee and tea are over 98% water so quality water is necessary for a good coffee, tea or iced beverage.
When to Replace Your Keurig. Most Keurig customers say that their machines typically last for three to five years.
K-cups are specifically designed to be used in the Keurig single cup coffee maker only. Keurig has recently changed the name of their “K-CUP” to “K-CUP PODS” but they are very different than actual paper coffee pods. Standard coffee pods look like a round sealed pouch made of filter paper that is filled with coffee.
There are two main reasons there`s no flow coming from your group: a clog or a faulty brew valve. Have you been experiencing anything abnormal before the flow stopped? Low flow would likely indicate a clog, while strange noises would be more indicative of a faulty valve.

How do I empty the resevoir , I can empty the cold watet tank. We are moving so need to completely empty all water.
ANSWER : Hi,

The water reservoir lifts out. There are two tabs on the side which lock it in place. You may have to pres on them to remove it. If you are wanting to completely empty the entire machine, I have found an instruction manual and have instructions for purging: Fill reservoir with clean water and replace on machine with lid on it. Raise and lower handle without K cup inserted. Wait for the red light next to “heating goes off.
The blue lights on the control center will begin flashing. Put a cup on the drip tray and press “Brew”

When finished, repeat brew procedure 2 or 3 times and inner tank should be empty.

Hope this helps, if it does, please place a vote for me.

Good luck with your move,

Handie Andie

I have a Bissell Pro 2x carpet cleaner. The water heats properly as well as spraying the cleaning product. However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have only used this carpet cleaner ~ 5 times and in the beginning I had to empty the suctioned water quite frequently as it was dirty and it could not not hold any more water. So I have done 1 room and all the dirt remains in the carpet

Need instructions how to use Hoover Steam Vac Spin Scrub. I borrowed it from my Sister and she left it with no instruction book or letting me know how to operate it. I put water & cleaner in top tank. That’s all I know to do. Do I put any water in bottom tank? I figured not, since that is probably where the water goes when sucked up by vac. Do I leave lid on bottom tank? I usually use a commercial cleaner, and this is very different. I need to know NOW, as I must return it to her today, and I’m

The Hoover Steamvac Widepath will NOT pick up water. The dispenser with cleaner DOES have water. The TANK that would receive the dirty water is NOT full. All tanks are on properly and the machine will still not pick up the used water. I found a tear in the interior hose leading to the receiving tank and repaired throughly with electrical tape. Still will not pick up the water. Any suggestions?
ANSWER : Sounds like a clogged air path (no vacuum action) from the floor pick-up to the collection tank. Take the tanks off and deal with the vacuum problem alone. The collection tank should have a air exit vent–is it clear? Check the interior hose that you repaired–is it clogged? Remove the bottom plate and inspect the air path from it. Because this machine deals with water, clogs can become like concrete! Hope this helps!

My sunbeam water cooler model #YLR2-5-67H3 has been sitting unplugged for 3 years. I moved, plugged it in and put a water bottle on top and water went all over the floor. I unplugged it, (read the instructions on the front, duh) and it still leaks on the floor. What should I do?

I put it over the sink, emptied it, checked the drain plug, tried running a glass full of tap water through each tap. Only the room temperature one would work.

ANSWER : One of the rubber connecting hoses inside it has dried and aged so the pressure of the water from the bottle made it burst....
You will need to open it, find the defective hose and replace it – a 2 hour relatively easy job. The hardest part will be in taking the casing apart – lots of hidden screws.
