It works by spraying water and cleaner on the floor and scrubbing it. Then you suck up the water/cleaning/dirt mixture. It does not operate as a standard vacuum cleaner. I own the Hoover carpet cleaner to wet scrub my carpet and a Dyson for vacuuming the carpets.
A Spot Cleaner works in a similar way, but without the rotating brushes. With a Spot Cleaner, you have to scrub manually using the bristles on the handheld tool. This is just as good if you are cleaning a small area, but if you are cleaning a whole room an upright carpet cleaner saves you a lot of effort!
Utilizing electrical power, air is continually pulled out from inside a vacuum cleaner. This produces an internal vacuum. Outside air at atmospheric pressure is thereby drawn in, accompanied with light dust and dirt.
To attain a state of vacuum, a space must be empty, i.e. devoid of all gaseous material. The consequence of this is that the pressure in this space is very low, as it contains no or only a small number of particles, which exert a force on an area as a result of their impact against the walls.
While the Airflow measurement indicates how much air the central vacuum motor can move, the Suction measurement tells us the maximum pull the motor is capable of. This is determined by sucking a 2 inch column of water vertically to its maximum height in inches.
Ease of Use
Dustbag-full indicator: Lets you know when the dust collector is full without having to open the vacuum. Wand storage: Allows the wand to be attached to the cleaner when storing. This is useful for keeping all the bits together. Retractable cord: This is much easier than winding the cord around the cleaner.
The bristle guard separates hair from the brushroll until an integrated comb actively removes the hair from the bristles. Hair is sucked up into the dust cup, leaving the brushroll ready to deep-clean.
Suction Power
This is an indication of how good the vacuum cleaner is to clean – i.e. the work to be done. The suction power is measured in Watt (W) and is typically between 250 W and 450 W for machines with 1 motor.
When using a floor scrubber you will need to use detergent to clean up the oil, dirt and whatever else is making your floor dirty.

If a garment has a spot clean only care label, you cannot hand wash it, place it in the washing machine, wet clean it, or dry clean it. The only way to clean the garment is to delicately address, by hand, visible spots or spills using specialized spotting agents on the impacted areas.
The spot cleaning agent is usually flushed out by dry cleaning fluid during dry cleaning, but in the case of “spot clean only” garments, this cannot be done. As a result, any residue of the spot cleaning agent will remain in the garment and may eventually develop a visible `ring`.

No problem I just need a manual. I bought the bissell from lowes and it was a floor model. They did not have the manual with the directions on how to use the machine. Hetty hoover not working. It was working ok until I opened it up to search the bag for a missing jigsaw piece and I put it all back and I hoovered the mess on the floor, then switched off and switched on and hoover would not work? Is there a cut off button on Hetty hoovers?
ANSWER : Know cut off switch, its just not getting power ? 2 things its ether at the wall plug or in side the unit. I have never found a fuse in side them , so it may be just a lose wire did you try other plugs in the house . good luck DFD

Dusty smell i buy loads of hoovers and always same prob .when i hoover its a dusty smell and it stays around bag not full and check filter the hoover is ok f couple days then this happens

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover F5881-900 Vacuum. It sounds to me that if you have a clean bag and filter, it sounds like you have dust in the motor section and it needs to be cleaned and or take a good blower and blow out the dirt or you may have a clog or dirt build up in the suction line and that might be causing the dusty smell.
