The brush roll or its bearings may be clogged with hair, threads or dirt. Make sure they are clean and the roll spins. The belt may also have slipped because it was loose. Check the fit of the new belt when it is installed.
For parquet floors and other sensitive hard floors

If your Miele washer isn`t spinning at all the drive belt may be broken or damaged. This thin, rubber belt wraps around the washer drum via two pulleys, rotating the drum with the motor`s power. If the belt loosens or frays, the washer drum may not spin smoothly.
Use a mop, water and commercial cleaners that are designed for parquet floors to gently scrub the floor clean. The trick is to use as little water and cleaner as possible, to prevent water damage, and not to scrub too hard, to prevent scratches and other damage.
Although parquet flooring fell out of favor in the seventies, modern varieties give homeowners flooring options that look luxurious — without raising the flooring bill. Today, you can find parquet arranged in diagonal herringbone patterns, as well as the traditional basketweave pattern.

A Revolving Brush Roll
Greatly Enhances Carpet Cleaning Vacuum cleaners specifically designed to clean carpeted floors have motor or turbine driven revolving brush rolls with rows of bristles and sometimes beater bars as well. These brush rolls revolve at a very high speed, agitating the carpet fibers in the process.
If the drum stops spinning mid-cycle, try stopping the machine, draining the water and rearranging the laundry. You might be using too much detergent or an inappropriate type for your appliance. In this case, your washing machine will stop the spinning cycle and try to absorb the excess foam in its drum.
Some of the reasons your washing machine drum is not turning could be a blocked drain pump, an overloaded or uneven wash load, worn-out motor brushes, a drive belt worn loose, an issue with the suppressor filter, low water pressure if excessive foam has been detected and when washing woollens.
Brushes. According to iRobot, brushes should be replaced every 6-12 months. Robot vacuums like the iRobot Roomba j7+ have multiple brushes that allow it to clean.
On average a brushroll should be replaced every year or two. If you`re not sure if the vacuum is working as good as it could or should be, replacing the brushroll can be an easy fix .
Don`t use vinegar or baking soda.
Many DIY home cleaning solutions involve the use of vinegar or baking soda, but these are, in fact, the worst things you can apply to your wood floors. They actually damage and dull the polyurethane, which can irreparably ruin them.

The most prominent sign of a loose parquet block is instability which will cause the blocks to move underfoot or when there are any vibrations on the floor. A loose block can also cause the floor to become noisy when walked on and can even cause sections to lift and unfix leaving the floor looking unsightly.
If needed, you should be able to sand your Pergo wood floor 2 – 3 times depending on which quality you installed. A general rule is that you can sand one time for each mm of the top-layer thickness, but this depends on sanding method. Be aware that the original finish will be removed when you sand the floor.
Nowadays most of the people often refer parquet flooring to herring bone, which is probably the most popular and classic parquet pattern. It is widely spread as a traditional and contemporary wooden flooring. Materials: The most commonly used wood species for a parquet flooring is oak.
There`s two types of parquetry tiles available: the panel parquet tile, which uses a thin layer of hardwood pressed onto plywood, and the solid wood parquet tile, which is solid wood through-and-through, and is much more expensive.
With care, your parquet floor should maintain its luster for 10 to 15 years, or longer. Over time, however, even the most well-kept wood floor can start to look a little dull, especially in high-traffic areas.
There are five main types of artist brushes: flat brushes, bright brushes, round brushes, Filbert brushes, and sable brushes. In flat brushes, the shape of the brush is relatively wide but not very thick.
