h. I replaced bag and let cool down but it will not start. This has happened before and the vac store said they replaced the cord because it tends to go when it over heats. I have not taken in for and estimate but I fugure it will be at least $150 to repair. Is the another option.

If you suspect that the motor is damaged, you should not continue to use the vacuum cleaner! The cause of motor damage is usually wear and tear or damage caused by prolonged improper use (e.g. overheating). In most cases, it is not worth repairing.
Most dishwashers will have an average lifespan of around 5 – 10 years but a Miele could last up to 20 years.

.My Eureka Mighty Mite 3670 Bagged, was working fine, and we unplugged it to switch to another outlet in another room and it just stopped. We tried several other outlets and it just won’t turn on. We thought maybe it got hot because we had been using it for a while and we let it rest for a while and then changed the bag just to be sure, although it was not full. But it still will not turn on. Any ideas……X

.1 Other User Has the Same Problem.Comment by Guest, posted on Jun 06, 2008.I had the same problem today. Have a 9 amp model I bought 10 years ago which I never use. It has been sitting for years. Today put in new bag and ran it continuously for 45 minutes. After I turned it of it wouldn’t restart. Tried another outlet and wouldn’t restart. Felt canister at back and motor housing was hot so I thought I might need to let it cool down. After letting vacuum cool off for 10 minutes it restarted. All I can assume is that the vacuum has a built in overheat sensor on the motor. . .Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Eureka Mighty Mite #3670 Bagged Canister. I have the same type Mighty Mite Canister and from what you are saying the must be some type of heat sensor that is shutting off the motor to protect it from excessive heat. Al of the old ones have had lower amps and did not needs the heat sensor but once the bag is full and the filter clogged; they will shut down as well. They all use a plastic hose to clean with and that even gets hot sometimes. So I suggest that you get an owner’s manual from the manufacturer on you particular model so that id if happens again, you will be prepared. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
