I have a Kenmore Elegance Vacuum with Dirt Sensor, Model # 116.30750400C, Serial number M41901532. When vacuuming the carpet the power head will work for 3-6 mins then automatically shut off, power is still there and lights work but the power head motor turns off and the suction stops. Turns on when I turn the switch all the way off and then back on but when it shuts down it will not turn itself on automatically it will draw water out of the air but only if i turn it on manually.

The Vaccum is not turning on when i plug the hose into the wall. The hoover system will turn on when i turn the switch on at the base and wont go off till i turn the switch off. But it will not come on automatically when i put the hose in to the wall connections.

ANSWER : You can test this out by taking a small metal spoon and with the bottom side of the spoon insert it into the vac outlet on the wall. you want to touch the two metal pins inside the vac outlet to test if the unit is the problem or the hose is the problem.

The brushes on the Hoover All Terrain Steamvac won’t turn. However, when I try to turn them manually they will turn. So, why won’t they turn when the machine is turned on?

I have a roomba 530 pet series. It appears that the brushes aren’t turning. They are free of dirt and debris and move easily when manually turned. But, You can tell there may not be a motor turning, because the roomba is more quiet than normal when you turn it on. Also, the hair just collects along the bottom of the brush and doesn’t get pushed into the bin.

Kenmore Canister Vac, Progressive, 25512 255513 model. Brush won’t turn. One end of the brush roller, end closest to belt, is off center which is keeping it from turning freely. The end cap is like a square. Other ends turns fine. Do these end caps come off? If so how? Can’t get it to budge. This is exactly what is keep brush roller from turning.
ANSWER : Take a flat head screw driver and pry the end cap off. It will come off. You might have some string or hair around it causing it to not turn.

Infinity Vaccum by Shark, model number NV31COS, will not start. The vacuum was running just fine until it grabbed the edge of a curtain. Turned it off to release the suction. Floor Attachment I took off my floor attachment, but now the belt seems to be off and I can’t seem to get it back on right. I can’t use the attachment and I don’t know why it’s so hard to figure this out. They say, just turn it to belt off, but when i turn it it lift’s it up and can’t line up with the belt off label. ANSWER : Try this,

.With the floor nozzle off the machine spin the belt lifter around until the red arrows match. If you look at the side that attaches to the vacuum you should be able to see the belt up on the hook. If is not on the hook offf the machine you will never get the belt on. Once the belt is on the hook attach the floor nozzle to the front of the machine. At this point you need to spin the belt lifter back to where the green arrows match. Oh and another suggestion make sure your hieght adjuster the pedals with arrows are all the way up. Hopefully that helps you out.
