Your dirty water tank may not be secured tightly. Check the rubber tab on the dirty water tank and press firmly on all edges to secure it tightly. The accessory hose door also needs to be closed securely. Check the door and make sure it is locked in place.

However, when I go to suction the water from the carpets, the 2 in 1 water tank bladder works properly but there is no dirty water outside the bladder. I have a Bissel proheat 7901 carpet cleaner and it is not sucking the water up. Normally when I clean the water gets sucked back up and I have to empty the dirty tank. Now no water is in the tank when I am done cleaning. Please help I cannot afford to take it to the shop.
ANSWER : I’m not sure if this will help but I had the same problem and was about ready to pull my hair out. I ended up taking the fill tank off and if you look inside where the red overflow flap is you will find a small screened opening. I found that mine was pretty clogged up with debris but once I removed the mess and put my machine back together it is now sucking like a champ. I hope this helps. Here’s hoping that you don’t have the pay for a service person to look at it.

My carpet cleaner (bissell proheat plus) is not steaming, dispensing cleaner. Seems like there’s a little thingy that should be spinning or turning….. When I work a small area of carpet, it just leaves behind dry blobs of carpet gunk like pet hair. I had to use a carpet sweeper to clean up. FYI – I filled the cleaning fluid container and after trying to clean the carpet, it did empty out but the carpet isn’t wet. Any tips? The manual doesn’t help.

I have a Bissel 9300-C 0714 BC Carpet Shampooer. It was working great and all of a sudden it stopped working. It still sucks up dirty water but it does not spray water onto the carpet. I can get it to spray water through the smallest hand attatchment but not through the large hand held piece on the base of the machine. I have the Bissell 2x proheat. There is no water being sucked up from the bladder and the cleaning solution is not being sucked in either in order to get to the carpet. The cleaner/water solution dispenses into the carpet, cleans it, pulls out the pet hair, but no dirty water goes into the dirty water reservoir! is all this dirty water going into my carpet?

I have a Bissell Proheat 2XTurbo carpet cleaner. No water will come out when I squeeze the trigger. I have filled the solution tank and the water tank. I read the troubleshooting in the manual and have tried turning it off for a minute and restarting and nothing. I took out both tanks and reseated them and nothing.
